Description of 1991 Chevrolet Corvette base |
All stock except for unknown cat-back exhaust system and Accel yellow plug wires, runs like it was brand new. Adult owned, adult driven, never abused. Dual power seats, automatic climate control system, ice cold AC, just replaced all 8 piece of junk OEM Multec factory fuel injectors with FIC 24# Bosch III fuel injectors. 17" factory wheels, ABS, air bag, FX3 triple adjustable suspension (tour, sport, performance), later model ('93+) factory radio with cassette and CD player, 4 speed automatic with overdrive, 3.08 high speed posi rear end, cruise control, factory D-port aluminum heads, 250hp / 350 torque tuned port injected L98. FX3 works, one error code on SES light and that is an EGR condition. White with tan leather interior. Driver's seat is getting a little worn and has a tear or two but doesn't "gape", otherwise interior is 9 out of 10. Comes with black Loyd's Corvette mats front and rear and "Corvette" door sill protectors. All power, everything works except tachometer which reads way off (pegs the right side of the gauge at 70mph but that's okay because the Vette is an automatic). I was going to pull the gauge cluster and send it off to get the tach repaired but since I don't race the Vette and since it shifts automatically with no problems getting the tach fixed hasn't been a big concern of mine for a while now. Dash, carpet, etc. is all 9+ out of 10. Fed with 92+ ethanol free fuel only, serviced with synthetic oil only. Transmission was recently serviced and a tune up was done as well. Rear brake pads and rotors were just replaced along with both of the rear axle U-joints on the driver's side. AC converted before I purchased the Vette and AC recently serviced. Tends to run hot with AC on in heavy traffic but on highway AC blows ice cold and temp stays stable. Replaced motor in second cooling fan (which wasn't working) but I think that original radiator might need to be boiled out or replaced. Slight oil leak at back of intake manifold ... believe it is the oil pressure sending unit which I had replaced two years ago leaking again. Could use a new set of weatherstrips on the doors and around the rear window (getting worn) and the front three piece under-spoiler has two small tears in it. Vette drives and handles well, has plenty of power and plenty of braking power. One small chip missing in glass roof on rear of the passenger side near the roof but I have the piece just haven't epoxied it back on. Targa roof panel doesn't leak since the chip is well within the boundary of the T-top roof gasket. Used as a daily driver for the past two years on 75 mile week day commute to work and back and went on a few trips out of town and out of state for weekends away with my wife. Garage kept. Some slight paint issues (some chips in front nose / hood, a small tear in the passenger side front fender, a star in the hood (barely noticeable unless you know where to look). I have the Vette listed locally and reserve the right to end this auction if a local buyer takes the vehicle. |
