Description of 1977 Chevrolet Camaro |
1977 Camaro Type LT350ci with th350 auto transOriginal paint and interior. Completely rust free car from New MexicoEngine has been rebuilt using aftermarket dart iron eagle heads with 67cc combustion chambers. Crank was turned 10/10 under. Cylinders were bored/honed 60 oversize with new flat-top pistons/rings. Connecting rods are stock and were resized. Block was decked and a stock fel-pro head gasket was used. Estimated compression ratio around 9. 7:1. Has a edelbrock performer intake with a 1974 stock qjet carb that was rebuilt. The dart heads were brand new assembled with new valves/springs/retainers. etc. Roller tip rockers were used with a stage 2 camshaft with modest lift. This is a very nice motor that runs great. To appreciate its power a new carb and headers would work well. The exhaust system is new from the cat back. This car still has its original cat and y pipe. The interior is original to the car. Both seats have tears and the headliner is trash. The dash is OK. The carpet needs to be replaced. The paint is original. No rust on any exterior panels and the floors/trunk are all solid. It obviously needs a paint job. They only have the original paint once! Bumpers are decent. The TH350 trans shifts great. I don't know the history. I changed the fluid and put a new drain pan in it. The rear end is a 10bolt non posi with new fluid. The trunk is sold with the original full size 14in spare. Jack and everything are mounted in the original location. No rust anywhere. The original wheels were 14 turbine type. I replaced them with 15in Z28 wheels with new rubber. 225/70/15 all around. This car is for sale locally and I will end the auction early for a local buyer. Its in the Denver area. Any questions please ask. Thanks! On Nov-23-14 at 12:04:12 PST. seller added the following information: This car is completely driveable. The motor with the dart heads was very expensive and has about 600 miles on it. It was broken in to 400 miles with Joe Gibbs break in 10/30 oil. Currently has Job Gibbs Hot rod 10/30 oil in it. THis car passed the Colorado emission test with no issues. The smog pump and cat are in place and functional. I have all the AC components and the original trunk mat. Also comes with a few engine parts that I didn't put back in. Note the lettering on the spare tire. It has never been used! |
