Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Ivory/Turquse

This is a Unrestored very rare matching factory 2 Four Barrel Carburators V8 283 set up 2 door hard top Chevy Bel Air and comes with its original sales receipt listing this factory ordered . Beefed up gas lines back in the day and also came with a rare Automatic Turbo Power Glide Transmission originally . This car was discovered just last year with this original 1957 sales receipt in its glove compartment . Since all these years the engine had been swapped out and was converted to a 2 barrel carb 3 speed.. When I bought the car I worked real hard looking for all the hard to find parts ..I located and purchased a correct code 283 1957 Engine in nice running conditio, ,Dual 4 Barrel Intake, Matching Dual 4 Barrel Carb, Automatic Steering column, Original Support bar as its original was cut when they switched out the engine back in the day . Automatic 1957 radiator Coded .. Original Rear Bumper replacement as the one on the car had been modified .. Original grill bar with undamaged insignia ... Floor needs serious repair or replace as it was repaired years ago and not professonally .. This car is now ready for a frame off restoration .
Here is what I have done ..Located this rare 1957 Turbo Power Glide Transmission and had it rebuilt..Very hard to find the right person for this job but found them ..The entire transmission has been gone thru ..Also learned that these 57 Turbo Power Glide Transmissions did not hold up well when they came out and very rare to find still in the car and this one was later reworked in 1959 with a upgraded effort so it might last. Being when I originally bought this car it had a later 3 speed transmission the original Transmission linkage was not with it but will have it fabricated for the buyer with the use of another original linkage . I was told if restored properly this is a very rare car having the original paperwork documenting it and would be worth strong money after a top shelf restoration was complete, , Feel free to discuss any details or questions .. I have another project that is taking more money than I had planned or I would hold out and finish this restoration project .. This would be a fun project with much reward in the end .. Feel free to discuss further Brent 336-580- 3330
