Up for sale is a 1970 Chevrolet Short Bed Stepside Pickup Truck. Everything works excellent on this truck including the Tach, A/C. There is less than 50 miles on this truck since it completed its transformation. This is originally a South Carolina truck. The paint job is 90% original except for areas that were touched up when the cab corners and rocker panels were replaced. The rust areas on the truck were sanded down to metal, neutralized and then rust looking primer was placed over those areas followed by a semigloss clear coat. The cab is rust free. The floors and cowl have no rot. The door have a couple of tiny pinholes on the inside edge where they were in contact with the original door gaskets. The driver fender is rust free and the passenger fender has some rust under the battery tray. The hood is rot free. The rear fenders have a couple of pinholes at the front by the steps sides which is worse on the driver side. The rear driver rear fender has some rust but it fits with the theme of the truck. The tailgate and bed have no rot. The bed wood was replaced with pine which was stained with barnyard grey to look old. The core support is new. The frame is excellent and rust free.All of the rubber including window seals, vent window seals, windshield and back window gaskets, door gaskets, window sweeps were replaced. Energy suspension cab mounts and core support mounts were installed.The turn signal, brake light and backup lenses have been replaced. The door handles and side mirrors are new.The suspension was upgrade to the CPP lowering conversion which includes a 5" lowering kit, new steering setup, no coil springs, shocks, rear control arms, adjustable pan hard bar, drop spindle and shock relocation kit. The truck is power front disc brakes and drum rears which were rebuilt. The rear was rebuilt and is a 3.73 open rear axle.The gas tank was relocated to the bed using LMC truck conversion kit. The truck's fuel is supplied by a Holley electric fuel pump with a Vintage Holley screw on Fuel filter mounted on the passenger inner fender well.The Engine is a rebuilt 350 Vortec with roller camshaft which puts out about 310 HP. It has heavy duty cooling, aluminum pulleys, power steering, and A/C. Ignition is Accel HEI. The transmission is a 700R4 overdrive. Engine and trans have 50 miles on them. It is cooled with a Champion aluminum heavy duty radiator. Exhaust is by flow master which gives an excellent sound.The truck is equipped the the Dixie Horn from the Dukes of Hazzard.The interior was completely redone. The Seats are retrofitted 2004 Silverado seats with middle jumper seat/console. The dashpad was replaced and the dashed, door panels, kick panels and seats all match. It has new carpet. It has a CPP Tilt column with wood Chevrolet wheel. The dash was rebuilt and contains the factory tach which works perfectly. The radio is a Custom Auto sound AM/FM radio with MP3/Ipod dock with kick panel and center speaker. The truck is equipped with a Vintage Air Gen IV system that blows Ice Cold.Tires are original 15" with the hubcaps and brand new Goodyear tires.
