Defrost. Heat. Seatbelts. Vinyl Interior. Owner's Manual SELLER REMARKS For this 1970 Chevrolet Nova. it seems like time stands still. As attractive as ever and powered by a smart-running small block V8. it still represents the same combination of performance value that made it so popular in 1970s. Nothing fancy and a minimum of frills were always the Nova's strong point. and this one gets the combination right. The dark blue paint looks especially good on the square-jawed Nova bodywork and while it isn't this car's original color (that would be code 45 Green Mist). it sure looks right. For an affordable car. the look is rather upscale and it offers just the right balance between originality and restored pieces to make it a very appealing machine. Fit and finish are good. with straight bodywork that shows quite well under the dark blue paint. Does it have a few signs of use? Of course! But it's also clear that someone really cared about this car and insisted on doing their best to make it look awesome. The paint has a great electric blue glow in the right light and the bright trim throughout the car contrasts well with the dark finish. And it's always nice to see a car that isn't trying too hard. so you won't find any fake SS badges on the grille or quarters. Basic black is the interior's choice of color. but you'll find a few goodies here that'll make this car even more appealing. The most notable thing is probably the 4-speed manual transmission managed by a Hurst shifter with cue ball knob. proving that affordable and fun aren't mutually exclusive. The black vinyl seat covers on the bench seats are nice reproductions that are in very good condition and deliver the kind of no-nonsense look that you'd expect. The instrument panel is original and offers only the basics of speed and fuel level. all visible through a traditional-looking 3-spoke steering wheel that should look familiar to any GM fan. Newer carpets give it a fresh vibe inside and the back seat looks almost entirely unused. The radio has been upgraded to an AM/FM stereo unit and the trunk is nicely finished with spatter finish paint. A 350 cubic inch crate motor is an easy fit in the Nova's engine bay and makes good power that gives the lightweight Nova the moves of a genuine muscle car. It certainly looks right under the hood wearing its Chevy Orange paint. chrome valve covers and an open-element air cleaner. plus an Edelbrock intake and carburetor. It's clean and well-assembled and the car works extremely well overall. Long-tube headers and a set of glasspack-style mufflers give it a sound to match its performance and the underside. while unrestored. is in good order for having fun on Saturday night. A 10-bolt rear end plants the power with gears inside that are highway-friendly enough to make this a relaxed cruiser on long trips. Factory Rally wheels give the understated Nova a high performance look and carry recent blackwall radials that are a big help in the subtlety department. For the money. we can't think of many nicer cars than this. It's a fantastic runner. offers great colors. and still gets plenty of respect at car shows. Isn't that the point of having a fun old car?
