As one can see in the photos, the finish has dazzling gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. The wheels and center caps are in beautiful condition with a nice finish and no curb rash. The chrome was redone and looks excellent with a brilliant finish. The truck has a beautiful wood bed that looks great on the truck. There are some very small blemishes around the truck that were too tiny to show up in pictures, but nothing else is really noticeable from about five feet away. There is on spot on top of the right front fender with a specific photo of the area below. The underside of the truck is exceptionally clean. This Chevy has absolutely NO RUST ISSUES. The frame is totally solid. We have included may photos of the underside to show how great it looks. Interior The interior of the pickup is in wonderful condition and has also been restored. The seat was recently recovered and looks good with no rips or split seams. The black floor mat is in good condition as well with no rips or stains. The inner door panels look great. The dash is in wonderful shape with no fading or sun damage. The gauge face is clean and the lens is clear. All of the gauges work with the exception of the fuel gauge. This car has not been smoked in and there is no aroma of cigarettes at all. Mechanical This Chevy seems to be in good mechanical condition overall. It starts right away every time, runs well, and idles well. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating, braking, shifting through all the gears, and going through some curves. Please note that the truck performs quite well overall for a 1946 model. The transmission shifts well. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. We have had the truck up to about 35 or 40 miles an hour and it drives well for what it is. It has bias ply tires and definitely feels primitive out on the road compared to a modern vehicle. Also, the engine compartment is beautifully clean and detailed as one can see in the photos. The speedometer, odometer, temperature gauge, and oil pressure gauge all work. The blower motor for the heater works. There is a noise audible in the video when the truck is in first and second gear. The left window will come down on its own. The horn, wipers, and roll out windshield do not work. Overall Condition Overall, this 1946 Chevrolet 3100 pickup is in wonderful driver condition. The classic Chevy trucks are highly collectible and the market on them is very hot right now. The excellent restored condition and beautiful color combination make this truck especially important and difficult to duplicate. This pickup always gets a ton of attention driving down the road. The prices of classic pickups have increased drastically over the past years. They are secure and wise investments for a collector. One could easily enjoy this vehicle for several years and sell it for more than the purchase price with minimal effort.
