Description of 1987 Chevrolet Camaro |
Selling the Camaro I bought as a project. My intention for this car was to build a sleeper out of it. Its a full roof 3rd gen with limited options, a real decent body and a bolt on fiberglass hood. Its so ugly, nobody would suspect a thing! I was going to install a very healthy small bloc, leave it ugly and raise some hell. Well, as good as my intentions were, life got in the way and now the car has become a lawn ornament. It needs a new home. The body is pretty nice and not a rust bucket...the passenger side fender has a little surface rust in spots, but nothing bad. Thereare rust holes in the area where the battery was. If your intention is to use the battery in that location, it will need a patch installed....but that is about the only significant rust on this car. Some of the ground effects are missing on the doors, and a few of the other pieces are coming loose and will need attention. All the glass is good. The interior is shitty. The dash is cracke, the headliner is shot, the carpet is dirtier than a teenagers mindand the drivers seat is roached. The entire interior needs a tetanus shot...but it is complete for the most part. The305 4 barrelengine turns freely and looks complete, but hasn't run in a long time. The 700R4 trans doesn't smell burnt and the rear isnt anything special, but turns freely. The exhaust stops at the catalytic converter, the rest is gone. This car would be great for a father/son project or just something simple to get back on the road. The fact that its a carburetor and not injection leaves the door open to bolt some old school horsepower onto the engine pretty simply....plus you don't have to worry about all the electronics, sensors and computers. I have a clear, signed NJ title for this car, along with a written receipt from the previous owner. It can be easily transferred to anyone at any notary in PA. I am starting this auction at a penny, with no reserve. Whatever the highest bid is at the end, is what this car sells for. If you bid, PLEASE have full intentions on completing the transaction if you win. Don't bid unless your serious...I don't want to have to run this car through the auction more than once. Please also understand that this car does not run and will need to be towed...please check for prices to have it shipped to you, or make arrangements to do it yourself.prior to bidding....as this amount can be significant. If you win, a deposit is necessary within 48 hrs. The balance can be through paypal, or cash in person. You can make arrangements with me after the auction. I want the car GONE from my property no later than august 31, 2017. I'm selling it cheap to get rid of it....not to store it for someone else. P.S. . I alsohave a set of brand new, in the boxsmall blockhooker super competition headers for this car. Iwill give you a great deal on these $600 headers if you decide you want them when you pick up the car. |
