Description of 1978 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 |
1978 chevy k10. This truck is a true survivor. I bought it out of a private collection about a year ago. It was bought new in Monroe Ga and has stayed in this area it's whole life. When I purchased the truck it had been in storage (inside) for around 12 years. The truck has 132,000 miles on it and has been driven about 2000 miles since 2005. The original 350 engine was rebuilt prior to taking it off of the highway. It runs great with no leaks. It has an automatic transmission that shifts and works perfectly. It's original under the hood with no modifications but it could use a good detail. The a/c does work, I had it recharged back in the spring. The paint is 12 years old, it was new when the truck was parked. It has a nice shine but does have a few imperfections. the paint would look like new if it had a professional buff job done on it. The bed underneath the plastic liner is in perfect condition. The bumpers are original but rust free and straight, the body molding is all new from LMC, I haven't bought the 2 tailgate pieces yet but the old ones come with the truck. The interior has been freshened up with new carpet, refurbished seat with a new cover, new headliner and refurbished door panels. It is a very comfortable riding truck that has no wind noise while going down the road. It does have power windows, they do work but it needs a switch on the drivers side to work properly. I ordered a new one but it was wrong when it came in. It is equipped with dual tanks and both do work. It has the factory type 15x9 truck rally rims, the tires are very old and dry rotted. It can be test driven in my neighborhood but I wouldn't drive it on these tires. I have been tinkering with the old truck for around a year now. I'm just kind of burned out on it and ready for something different. I have a very reasonable reserve on it and there's no doubt it will sell, but please don't bid if you aren't prepared to purchase. I do have the original title from 1978, but due to Georgia's crazy title rules I can't renew it into my name. I am the 3rd owner of the truck. You will be able to transfer it in your state with the paperwork that I provide to you. please call or text with any questions 678-283-5891 |
