This 1968 Camaro is agenuine American muscle car, fast, fun and reliable. A Bill Mitchel 427c.i. small block is equipped with FITech Mean Street fuel injection and March Ultra Drive serpentine system. Dyno sheet says 555 hp & 526 lbs torque. A Lakewood Bell housing holds a Centerforce Clutch assy and couples to a Tremec 5 speed. Power then flows to a Currie 9 inch with 3.55 gears and a Detroit Locker.Hooker Competition Headers flow thru Flowmaster mufflers and exhaust for a great muscle car sound. Cooling is handled by a Ron Davis Radiator with dual fans. The engine and entire driveline was installed at the same time and has less then 9000 miles on it. Hotchkis Tubular A arms and full TVS Suspensionmakes the car feel rock solid. While Baer 4 wheel discs with Hydroboost riding on Budnik Ice wheels and Nitto tires gives great handling and stopping power. There is also a Hurst Line Lock in case you want to wear out tires with smoky burnouts. Interior is very nice, original headliner and door panels, seats have been recovered in the original houndstooth pattern. Vintage Air keeps things cool, while Autometer gauges keep you informed, Custom Autosound factory style stereo. Power windows and locks with keyless entry and alarm. Full LED lighting inside and out including headlights. The headlights also have electric door motors eliminating the troublesome factory vacuum system. The trunk area has been resprayed with the original splatter paint and has a black carpet trunk liner installed. While all these goodies are nice, the true star is the Body. While it's a RS clone, this Camaro is a true SS, It has never been restored, just well maintained. I can't see any signs of wreck damage anywhere on it and with the exception of the factory cowl induction hoodappers to have all of it's original sheet metal. The body is as rust free as you can get for an unrestored car. The only real rust I can find on the car is at the bottom of the radiator core support. I suspect this part came from a donor car when it was converted to an RS by the previous owner. The paint job is over 20 years old and while it does have a few small chips and light scratches it has a deep glossy shine that looks better then a lot of new paint jobs. This car isn't perfect or a 100K plus show car, but it's a great driver. Everything works like it's supposed to. It's fast, reliable and gets attention everywhere it goes. I think you would be hard pressed to find a nicer Camaro for the money. I invite you to come take a look at it in person. Or if you have any questions or want pics of any areas just ask, I will answer all questions. If you don't get a reply from me within 24 hrs then it's not my fault.
