What a Great Story on the car! He owned it about 35 years ago! Sold it to a local friend and bought it back several years ago! He restored the car to drive and enjoy! We have a picture of his son in the car from way back when!
Here are some detailed high resolution pictures: The car was an original blue car with a Powerglide trans It was an original non sidepipe car and we still have the rear valence and it was painted when the car was painted. Paint and body was redone about 10 years ago The interior was redone just a few years ago with a Mid America Corvette interior kit with leather. The white convertible top is newer. It is not a power top. It does have Two Tops. The hard top is older but was painted when the car was, it's in good condition but needs some of the inner trim pieces. Newer carpet throughout the cockpit Seats recovered
Engine is a 350 block bored +.060 over
New Dewitt Aluminum radiator Dual electric cooling fans HEI cable drive distributor New Steroids Rack and pinion steering system After market gauges in the glove box Adjustable Overdrive converter lock up switch in glove box as well So the paint is about 10 years old. In very good condition. Not perfect, but very nice. The car is very straight and a NO HIT BODY!
The interior is in great shape.
Condition Overall the car is extremely nice, especially given that it is a 52 year old car. As far as we can tell it has only had one re paint and all of the fiberglass IS ORIGINAL. Very clean car overall but I would not call it a perfect show car. It's more of a fun cruiser style car, not really a full blown frame off restoration. The underside is very clean and detailed though. The engine starts up quick, doesn't smoke, good oil pressure. Has a nice rumble. It's NOT too loud. It's more of a cruiser type car. Here are the "picks" I have. It does have a few chips here and there, but keep in mind the paint is about 10 years old on a car that is 52 years old, so that has to be expected. The paint is older and has a few minor blemishes here and there, but I do mean minor. They do not show up in pictures. The bumpers are not show shine shiny, but are in good shape, just not new. If you are thinking show car, you will want to re chrome them.
