Description of 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air |
This is not your normal 55 Chevy body..It was a one owner car, owned by a lady with 85,000 miles when it was bought and restoration began..This was in 1989..The car was completely disassembled. This was before "Frame Offs" was done..Every part underneath car and inside that could be taken apart was blasted, cleaned and painted or powder coated...Absolutely no rust or body damage ever. All original floor pans, trunk pan and body panels, no patch panels...This is the real deal.I bought the car in 2010 from the second owner and completely redone the interior, Removed engine and replaced all gaskets and repainted engine... Engine had only 15,000 miles since a professional rebuild of a 350, 4 bolt main block and was built to have approximately 375 HP.This car stills has the paint job that was done in 1990...Midnight Blue Metalic & White Pearl. This lets you know how good the body was when painted...Even after 27 years its still beautiful. The doors shut with just a light touch and because it is a post car it has no wind noise and gets really quite inside when you shift to 5th gear.Check out the really precise body lines around trunk lid and doors. I installed a...Tremec 5 Speed Transmission with new Clutch, Pressure Plate and Release Bearing.Vintage AirPower SteeringPower Front WindowsPower Disc Brakes on FrtClassic GuagesCruise ControlNew 17" American Torque Thrust wheelsNew BF Goodrich ...215/60 R17 Front 235/55 R17 Rear You can drive this car anywhere in Comfort. With this Tremec Transmission, At 70 MPH you're only turning 1700 RPMs.I got 18.5 MPG coming home from Pigeon Forge...Thats with 375 HP. I built this car to keep forever and have invested far more than the asking price.I have just bought a Red 62 Chevy SS that I have been trying to get for years.I don't want 2 cars, so my dream car that I built to keep, is for sale. |
