Description of 1966 Chevrolet Nova |
You are looking at a great 1966 Chevy II with a pro-built 415 cubic inch LS3 stroker and a pro-built 4L80E automatic transmission. The entire driveline was replaced with new components in July of 2014. The engine, transmission, driveshaft, rear end, exhaust system, fuel system, gauges and shifter were built and/or installed by a professional shop. My bill for all of the work they did was more than the reserve price on this car. One trusted local shop did the entire driveline build. In addition to what you see in the pictures, the car comes with an additional set of brand new wheels and tires. The wheels are Formula 43 RAD S5 18" wheels and brand new Goodyear Eagle Sport tires at a total cost of $4,810.00. I also have a brand new unpainted 2" all steel cowl hood that will go with the sale. This is a dead reliable 600+ horsepower restored / pro-touring style driver. It has never stalled. It has never left me stranded. It starts quickly and reliably every time, no matter if it's sat all winter or not. It idles perfectly (as long as you like a nice lumpy ground pounding idle). It is a car that can sit in traffic, run to the store to grab beer or drive across the county without issue. It shifts perfectly whether letting the transmission control the shifting or if you're doing it manually via the B&M Stealth Pro Shifter. The paint and body are very nice driver quality with a few minor imperfections as most non-garage queens have. Most people think it's a show car when they see it and think I'm nuts when I say it's just a driver. I am very picky and I tend to nitpick every little swirl and imperfection, but the body is an older restoration. This car gets a ton of attention and you should be prepared to talk about it every time you drive it. The paint and chrome are bright and shiny. The car is currently sitting on Budnik wheels that get a ton of compliments. The bumpers are like new and I have replaced many trim pieces. This car has not seen winter driving or any rain whatsoever. It has been stored in my heated garage constantly. The interior is in very good to excellent condition. The carpet and upholstery are very clean and near new condition. The gauges are awesome and function perfectly. It has a killer Budnik steering wheel. All of the glass is free of cracks and chips. The windows and doors function as they should. The brakes were completely gone through during the build in 2014 and function as they should. I bought the car out of Huntington Beach, CA several years back and had it shipped to Michigan. It came with a CA rebuilt title. The previous owner had purchased the car in many pieces and put it back together with a ton of new parts. He said that as far as he knew the car was stolen and recovered in the early 80's, therefore it earned the branded title. I have found nothing that would indicate it was damage or crashed.
