Description of 1962 Chevrolet Other Pickups Apache c10 c15 1/2 ton |
1961 Apache truck c10 step side - YouTube Video will open in a new window [isdntekvideo]Click above arrow for link to a video of this 1961 Chevy Apache c10 1/2 ton truck riding and driving!! This truck came from a farm town in south east Minnesot, Canton where the previous owner used this truck as his daily driver up until a year ago when he could not use his legs for shifting any longer due to age. He knew I collect trucks and called me to see if I was interested in buying it. After seeing the truck, I knew this would make someone a fantastic driver without spending a lot of money. I trailered the truck back to my shop and I put a new brake master cylinder on and two new rear wheel cylinders and lines. The truck stops good. I did a light tune up to the engine and the truck started right up. I took it for a drive and the clutch and trans shifted and worked the way they should. This truck comes with a v8 engine and three speed on the clomumn.Super FUN! All of the lights and gauges were working (fuel gauge comes and goes) Rather then repaint the truck, I elected to preserve the patina of the original body by giving two coats of clear coat. The previous owner had patch paneled any rust issue he saw and he elected to use spray paint on the few spots to try and blend it. Does not match perfectly but gives great patina and gets the job done and looks great to me under the clear. It has a new wood floor in the box along with the box rails. Looks great. The wheels and tires look great on the truck and cruised around 50 mph while I was doing the video with no issues. The interior is in good shape for being a 1961, see video and pics for what it is. There is a crack in the windshield which to me adds character, all of the glass is in the truck. The windows go up and down and the doors open and shut the way they should. This is truly a survivor you can bid with confidence getting a unrestored usable collectible truck. This is reserve Auction so bid to own it! In my opinion, the only thing I would personallydo is adjust/rebuild the carb. It is functional the way it is just could be fine tuned a bit more. This comes with a clean newly registered numbers matching title ready for you to register it. The plate topper on the front does not go with the truck as its part of my collelction. As everybody has their own opinion on what a 68 year old surviving truck should be, I recommend coming to inspect the truck or hire ebay to do a independent inspection for you, (note this should be done before the auction ends and not after.) make sure to study the pics and video so you see what you are getting. I require a non refundable 500 dollar paypal deposit within 24 hours of auction end, if I do not get the deposit within the time frame or before you come for the truck, I will assume you are a dreamer or a scammer and not serious about buying it.I can help recommend shippers i have used in the past who have been very reasonable. If you have any questions at all, call me563 568 5111or563 568 1186! thanks This vehicle is being sold as is, where is with no warranty, expressed written or implied.
