Up for auction is a wonderful 1970 Chevelle Malibu Convertible 350 (250 HP) with Serial Number 136670L194951. Factory correct Cranberry red exterior, with Ivory Interior, and white convertible factory power top. 350 cubic inch engine with 250 horsepower that came with a two barrel carburetor that at some point in its life was changed to a four barrel. 350 Turbo Hydra-Matic transmission with a 256 rear axle ratio. Power steering, power brakes, power windows, and even a power convertible top. Factory Air Conditioning. Very rare to find one with all this optional factory equipment. Believed to be original drive train with matching numbers, but I will leave that up to you experts to decide. Odometer works and currently shows 25,349. Car comes with factory build sheet, original owner's manual, and even the Protect-O-Plate. When I received possession of this car, it came with a three ring binder showing the build sheet, and also restoration receipts totaling $28,940.09 which was completed in Texas in April 2008. There is even a Chevelle report article that was included telling how this car was purchased in 1970 and used as a daily driver until 1976 and then taken over by his children for the next ten years, but then got his car back from his kids finally. The article states that the car was overhauled twice by Alan Malcolm of Wrench Works in Garland Texas. In 1989 car was professionally appraised by Classic Cars of Dallas-Carrollton Texas 75006, and they stated that this car is an original owner car that had some restoration. It also states that car has its correct V8 350 engine. It also states that car was recently repainted its original color of red, and was done excellent. Car was appraised at that time at $9,500. Car was also appraised ten years later on 3-31-1999 by Jack Foster Finance of Dallas Texas 75235, and he stated that this is a fantastic original style unit, one owner restored to proper style and color with 350 V8, AC, PS, PB, PW, and power top. Car was appraised for $14,500 at that time. So long story short is I have proof that the original owner owned this car from 1970 until at least April 2008 because all of the restoration receipts and letters in my possession show the same name all the way through 2008. I purchased the car March 2013 from a gentleman who had it for about a year, so I don't know any of the history from April 2008 until March 2012 when the gentleman I purchased it from bought the car. Car runs absolutely perfect, with cold air conditioning, and does not smoke or burn any oil. Transmission shifts perfectly smooth as it should. All power windows work as they should. My mechanic has rebuilt the four barrel carburetor because I run it on 93 Octane fuel, but as you all know that fuel has ethanol which eats up rubber gaskets. Car runs perfect on 93 Octane fuel. The restoration that was finished in 2008 still looks almost perfect, with almost no flaws in the paint job. Interior is all original and perfect. Car wins trophies all the time at local car shows. Whenever I take car out for a spin with my wife we get thumbs up all the time. The only reason I decided to put her up for sale is I would like to get different toy to play around with. You will not be disappointed with this car. Please come inspect it at your convenience. I WILL PROVIDE YOU WITH THE CLEAN AND CLEAR TITLE FOR THIS VEHICLE. I DO NOT HAVE A LOAN OR ANYTHING AND HAVE THE TITLE IN MY HANDS READY TO GIVE TO YOU. Remember, you can call HOWARD at 561-212-7817 with any questions. Please try to call betIen 9am and 9pm EST.
