Description of 1957 Chevrolet Other Pickups |
I purchased this truck in 1994 it took 6 yrs. to build. It is a total custom. Lets start with, it is only driven to car shows. It has been in 3 magazines and has received over 100 trophy's, many best of show. As you look at the photos from the side, notice the front cab and fenders have been sectioned to bring the body line down to match the rear fender body line. I have never seen another truck where this has been done, making it one of a kind. The front end view shows that the head lights are frenched the blinker lights are removed and frenched in behind the custom billet grille. The front bumper has been shortened 2" The front clip is a Volarie with disk brakes. The front end has hydraulics. The window wings and door handles have been removed. The tint on the door glass is sandwiched between 2 pieces of tempered glass. The rear end is a ford with drum brakes. The bed is Honduras Mahogany with sheet metal in the center that hinges at the cab giving access to the batteries and the air bags. The gate is a swing gate. Interior is leather with custom seats and center console. Over head console is from late model blazer. There are a lot of details not mentioned that make this truck a very special custom. This truck stays in the garage covered, and I might also mention it has never been washed. The paint looks like it was painted last week, yet it was painted in 2000. You want to be noticed? This is it, people are taking pictures and videos while you are driving on the freeway.
