In 1985 the Chevy Truck had not significantly changed since 1973. The body styling ran from 1973 to 1987 and was the second longest unchanged styling. During this time some things were changed, including the grilles, trim packages and engines. The 1985 body styling had a boxy look with roomy, spacious cabs. The body style was called the "Rounded Line" and had not significantly changed since 1973. The trucks had a sloped side strip and curved side windows that made them rounder than previous mod...els, hence the "rounded" designation. In this year Chevy offered 6- and 8-foot beds. The trim packages during 1985 had changed. The Cheyenne trim package went away. The basic, Custom Deluxe, Scottsdale and Silverado trim packages remained. Some options included power brakes, power steering, power door locks, power windows, fully chromed bumpers, cigarette lighters, map lights, special moldings and a custom steering wheel. In 1985 the Chevy pickups had six engine power plants to choose from, this particular Chevy came with a small block 305 V8 engine with 160 hp and 235 foot-pounds of torque paired to an automatic transmission. This Silverado edition hails from Georgia where the truck was completely restored with the body off. The rear bumper has been deleted, the front grille has been customized and the whole truck has been custom painted. Some of the equipment includes power windows, power locks, power steering, power brakes and factory air condition (which has been completely overhauled). We also have several original documents including the build sheet, owners' manual and warranty booklet. For more information or to make an offer, give Dan a call at 863-370-6712.
