Description of 1963 Chevrolet Corvette |
• Body: o Original ’63 body with clear title o GTS Customs widened rear quarters o New Porsche Anthracite Brown paint o All chrome newly re-plated o All stainless trim straightened & polished o New Detroit Speed headlight motor kit (much better than OEM motors) o Removable hard top installed; I have bought every part needed to add the soft top (included in sale price) but haven't done it yet due to time. When it goes on, it will require going back into the rear cargo area to notch the rear wheel wells to clear the soft top frame when it’s stowed. o I have some new repro emblems for the nose, deck and front fenders that I’ll include if you want them. I prefer the clean look with no emblems; so I left them off • Chassis: o SRIII frame powder coated satin black o C6 Corvette suspension (front and rear) o QA1 single-adjustable shocks and Hypercoil springs o Newly rebuilt C4 (’84-87) Corvette steering rack o New C6 Z06 brakes (13”-6 piston front; 12”-4 piston rear) New Hydroboost brake booster New Wilwood 1 1/8” bore MC with adjustable proportioning block All new stainless steel brakes lines throughout o C6 Z06 polished aluminum split-spoke wheels (OEM Speedlines / 18” front; 19” rear) o New Nitto Invo tires (275-35 front; 325-30 rear) • Drivetrain: o New LS 376/480 GM crate engine (GM rates it at 495HP/473 lb-ft torque; the butt-dyno says they're all there.) New GM engine harness & controller with OEM tune for this crate engine’s specs New GM Corvette-style accessory drive kit New DeWitts LS-swap radiator with 16" dia. SPAL electric puller fan (The engine and fan thermostats are both 195 degree units, and with the AC on a 100+ degree Texas summer day, it wants to run at about 205.) Exhaust: • Stainless Works LS headers for side pipes • Custom bent 4” dia. turn-out tubes mated with Hooker 4” polished stainless side pipes (all polished stainless) with STS spiral baffles Custom cold air intake routed through the FI hole in the OEM radiator support New Rock Valley stainless steel gas tank with internal fuel pump o New TKO600RR 5-speed transmission (.82:1 5th gear ratio) New Hydramax hydraulic clutch kit and new clutch rated for 525HP o New Gen 3 Viper DANA44HD differential with 3.55:1 gear set (matched with this transmission, gives 10.2:1 final drive ratio in 1st gear) New custom-built half shafts from The Driveshaft Shop rated for 1200HP • Interior: o Almost everything in the interior is new reproduction o C5 Z06 seats with new all-leather seat covers (headrest embroidery omitted; the pattern matches well with 63/64 door panel design and looks like they belong) o New Dakota Digital VHX Direct-Fit gauges with black alloy face and white back-lighting Dakota Digital dimmer switch in place of lighter on dash Dakota Digital BIM-01 unit included for reading engine diagnostics from ODBII port mounted under dash. o New Vintage Air system with polished aluminum 3 dial controller mounted on center console (looks like it could have come that way. o Dash center shaved for a clean appearance o No stereo system; can be added by next owner if desired, but when the exhaust sounds so good, who wants to hear music?! Serious inquiries only. This is an expensive, high-end car, and I'm a busy man; so if you aren't serious enough to come see it, then I'm probably not going to invest much time in sending you a lot of other pics and information. I'm a hobbyist who builds and sells a car every couple of years to make a few bucks and move on to the next project. I don't need to make a huge profit, but I'm not giving the car away. A car of this caliber would be listed at $150K+ by a dealer or consigner. Please educate yourself on what it takes to build one of these, and spare me the low-ball offers.
