Description of 1972 Chevrolet C-10 |
If you seek a fully restored hot rod pickup, this is it! No shortcuts on this build, not a better buy for the money than this. Spend a little more and get ALOT more! This truck was a 60,000 mile pickup owned by the father of the builder, and it was taken to the next level far beyond what Chevrolet originally had in mind. This truck was taken off the frame, the frame was powder coated, custom sway bars installed along with tubular A arms, dropped spindles, air bags front and back, the frame was C notched in the rear and the rails boxed and disc brakes are on all four corners. It doesn't stop there, not even barely! Under the hood went a fresh rebuilt 427 Tri Power big block from a late 60's Vette with factory carbs that were reworked by Holley. The engine is bored 30 over with Keith Black pistons, roller rockers, Sanderson headers, HEI ignition and is blueprinted and balanced. All of this goes through a 700r4 tranny and a 12 bolt positrac rear end with 3:36 gears. A 100 amp alternator feeds the electrical needs of the truck and dual fans keep the truck cool in the Texas heat. The engine compartment has a smoothed firewall and secondary gauges are installed under the hood along with hidden AC and heater lines. Speaking of the hood, a custom hood scoop accents nicely the rest of the truck. Outside the body was meticulously worked to perfection. The cab and door seams are filled, headlights frenched, custom bumpers front and rear made from a '68 Camaro (it took several for the wider truck), custom one of a kind stainless trim made, a fantastic 3-inch exhaust that exits through the rocker panels and these are just some of the highlights of the outside. The bed was moved forward one inch to close the gap between cab. If you are going to paint something black, it better be straight or the flaws will show. This body was very well prepared and the PPG Omni black paint is mirror perfect that will stop you in your tracks! Inside custom Bamboo trim accents the interior along with Vintage AC, AM/FM, Power 'everything', leather high back seats, tilt wheel and more. The custom Bamboo trim carries over into the bed of the truck where a Bamboo covered trunk sits that conceals the relocated battery and compressors/tank for the air ride, plus there is additional storage for those car shows. All of this sits on custom painted Rally wheels. This magnificent C10 Chevy is the cream of the crop, has won many awards including several Good Guy awards. With only 4100 miles since the build, it is just as fresh as the day it was completed. This truck fits the 'too much to list' motto to a 'T' and is an outstanding build that was a labor of love for the owner. This is a very tastefully professional build for the discriminating truck admirer, and will satisfy the most demanding truck buyer who is looking for a top level build. The truck has only 4100 miles on the build, drives great, needs nothing and is ready to take to shows. It is a head turner for sure! If you have questions that need to be answered or need more photos, please contact David at 214 738-5231 (leave a message). No dealer markups to deal with, no dealer games here. The truck is located 30 minutes SE of Dallas and your inspection is welcomed. The truck is priced at $42,500, no trades. A $500 non refundable deposit keeps other buyers away for 7 days, after that full payment is required and must be in cash or bank wire ONLY! Scammers need to go elsewhere. Delivery is possible. If you are seeking a one of a kind beautiful pickup, don't mess around and miss this opportunity, you will not find a better buy for the money! |
