Description of 1972 Chevrolet Corvette

This is a very straight and very original big block 4-speed 1972 Corvette t-top coupe. It has all original components except the starter. (See the page with all the component numbers on it).I have complete owner history, and have the two-page original tank sticker. It came with 454, 4-speed, 3.08 rear end, power steering, power brakes, deluxe (leather) interior, tilt and telescopic steering column, air conditioning (not working right now), power windows, AM/FM, removable rear window, etc. The car has always been garaged. It runs well, shifts like new, has brakes redone, and drives, brakes, and steers very well. The birdcage is very solid--see picture of lower pillar. Training arms have been redone, and it has a new correct radiator. It was sold new Kirsling Motors in Amherst, WI, (dealer code 323, zone 46) and has never been driven winters. Frame is very nice. Original spare wheel and tire are still present, along with original jack and handle. It has new wiring throughout except for the rear harness. VIN is 1Z37W2S504981Has original block, heads, intake, carb, air cleaner, alternator, distributor, smog system, shielding, jack and handle, rare AC -only fan blade and fan clutch, brass expansion tank, horn, idler pulley, exhaust manifolds, transmission with steel tag, differential, etc. Front grilles are correct original 72's without the fiberoptics holes. The original build sheets are NCRS verified. The car has 93,000 miles since new. Elkhart Green with saddle interior paint is shiny and the correct color, but has minor sanding scratches and a little bit of dust in the paint. The prep work was only adequate, so there is some over spray on several weatherstrips. The body is very straight--the picture shows where both the car and an opossum arrived at the same spot in the road at the same time. A minor deer strike was repaired years ago. Seat and shoulder belts work and are in good shape--demonstrates that the car has never been a leaker inside. Braided plug wires are GM NOS, not inferior reproductions. All gauges work, including clock. Radio works only on FM.T-top bags, rear storage shelf, etc are all present. Courtesy lights work, as do all exterior lights including backup lights. Horn works. Windshield door and headlights pop right up and down as designed. This is a good car to drive right now, and an excellent car to have if you consider doing future restoration. You won't have to chase parts--they are already on the car and correct. It is a legitimate and very right 454 4-speed which could use cosmetics to be really sharp. The reserve is quite reasonable. I'm selling because I found a 71 big block 4-speed convertible.Payment by wire transfer or by cash only. No checks of any kind. $500 deposit via paypal within 24 hours after end of auction Thanks for looking! I forgot to mention: the windshield has a half-moon crack with attendant delamination at the extreme lower right. It is not a factor at all when driving, but is visible from the outside of the car.
