Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
Up for sale is a barn find 57 Chevy wagon. The previous owner parked this beauty in his garage in 1973 where it sat until I purchased the car in 2008. The story i'm told is that the original motor was removed in the early 70's to go in his sons racecar at Stateline Speedway. With the auction I will include an original 289 ci and auto transmission but not the original to the car and they will need to be rebuilt. There isn't any front seats with the car. they at some point they were replaced with non originals and didn't go well with the car so I threw them away. I've replaced the passenger front floor pan and purchased but haven't installed the complete drivers floor pan. It appears the steering column isn't original. Now for all the good! The dash is original and not hacked up. The rear seat is complete and in nice shape. the headliner is also still installed in the car but will need to be removed to clean evidence of mice from its time in the barn. For a 2 owner northern car its super solid except for the drivers floor pan and area near drivers rocker panel (see pic). This car has tons of potential I just don't have time to complete the repairs. Ive tried to show all angles of the car for your viewing. please be advised the paint has a dull finish and appears shiny in pics only because it was recently washed. There is no engine or transmission currently in the car so it will need to be trailered to its new home! The glass and trim are nice. obviously the chrome will need to be refinished if completing a full restoration. Also with the auction im including a carbureted 454 Chevy engine and turbo 400 transmission which im told both ran when they were removed 4 years ago. Please remember these priced as cores are valued at $1000-. The frame. rear floor and spring mounts are super solid. Please ask questions prior to bidding. serious bidders only. no trades please. ill answer questions quickly and can get more pics of specific areas if requested. I reserve the right to end auction early. this cars for sale locally. Happy bidding! |
