1979 Corvette L-82. As you can see this car looks way better than it ever did from the factory, and runs better too. The L-82 was the high performance model, that lacked performance. NO lack in performance or quality control here. The motor is numbers matching with the original 2.02 heads. It has about 350 hp. It has less than 100 miles on it. While the engine and transmission were out being rebuilt, the engine compartment and frame were degreased and pressure washed and prepped and painted with the durable POR-15 gloss black to show; not to hide anything. The body was stripped and absolutely no sign of damage was found. All the panels were worked and the gaps were set at 3/16 and all panels are perfectly flush. The shiny paint looks 6 inches deep with 4 coats of clear that were sanded and buffed to perfection. You can see the perfect reflection of objects in the paint, that shows the quality of the paint. You can use it as a mirror to shave. All the badges (emblems) were carefully restored to exact detail. The interior has all been restored, new carpet and new seat covers. All the gauges were cleaned and work. The radio and antenna do not work. The vacuum system has all been restored along with the headlight system. The headlights work perfectly and are aligned perfectly with the nose. Brakes have new hoses, calipers and shoes on all 4 corners. It got a lot of looks and compliments at Street Machine Nationals in Springfield, MO. Was by far the best looking non-bumper C-3 there.
