Description of 1969 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 2500 |
The following is a listing of everything that was done in the restoration of the truck. It is a 1969 cab with everything else 1968 including the frame. I am asking 10,500.00 for the truck. 1968 Chevy Four Wheel Drive Pick Up
This truck was restored from the bare frame up. Frame is original 1968 ¾ ton four wheel drive . Not fabricated or welded. Frame was sandblasted and painted in black acrylic. Chassis: Axles are from 1984 ¾ ton 4 WD chevy. Rear axle is a 14 bolt GM corporate with new brakes and drums re cut . Front is ¾ ton dana with new brakes and rotors cut. Both are 3;40 ratio Has a one ton sway bar fitted to front axle and custom fabricated brackets on frame. 4 inch suspension lift and new shocks New u joints front and back New brake lines with braided stainless flex lines at front wheels. New proportioning valve. Gas tank behind seat eliminated and a 30 gallon suburban tank fitted to rear under frame with custom fabricated cross member and straps. NP 205 transfer case. This is the best transfer case available in a light truck SM 465 Muncie manual 4 speed transmission Flywheel resurfaced-new clutch plate-pressure plate and throwout bearing New dual exhaust with headers and flowmaster mufflers. Engine: rebuilt 1966 Chevy 327 small journal with steel crank. Crank was checked and ground. Block cooked, cleaned and bored. .030 Speed pro flat top pistons, rings, rod bearings, main and cam bearings. 1970 Chevy 350 heads open chamber. Valves redone, new seals, springs. Edelbrock performer cam, intake and carb with electric choke Fitted with GM HE distributor, wires, plugs New High Volume oil pump Chrome valve covers and air cleaner
Body: all rusted metal removed and restored New floor with braces from toe boards to rear panel. New door pillar extensions New rocker panels New visor panel New heater box bottom Bed treated with rhino liner and also bottom of bed and cab New chrome front bumper-Black rear bumper Bench swing back seat reupholstered and new foam, frame blasted and painted New seals, windows, doors ect. New rubber floor mat and insulation New instrument panel bezel New firewall insulation Sliding rear window New letters on hood New lap and shoulder harnesses
This truck is basically a brand new 60s chevy pick up. You can feel the air pressure when you close the door where the seals are all new, it even smells like a new truck inside. The truck is painted GM medium blue in single stage urethane and the glove box door, door panels and steering column are painted GM dark blue. I had it painted with this type of paint because I intended to drive it off road and use it for outdoor activities. I have never tagged it up and it only has about 50 miles on it since restoration. I would recommend scuffing up the paint and applying a base coat-clear coat paint job. I am selling as is and just trying to get back what I have into it.
