Description of 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 |
This Chevy is a Head Turner. Right off the top I'll tell you that there are third party parts included in the vehicle. If you're looking for a standard '57 to restore - then this automobile probably isn't for you. On the other hand, if you're looking for a classic '57 Chevy ready to roll - then this IS the car for you. Here's the story: The man who put this car together passed away unexpectedly about 7 months ago. He was a man who's attention to detail was unreal. This car was is pride and joy. Since his death earlier this year, the car sat in their garage all this time - unused. To photograph this car required a jump start as the battery required recharging. It started right up. It is titled in Pennsylvania and has a classic car designation. The buyer would have to retitle the car in his/her home state. A death certificate will be provided with the title as the owner's widow will sign the title. If you look at the photos of the engine, you will see what we mean by attention to detail. The engine is super clean. The car originally came with a 327 V8. It was replaced with a 350 V8. Air conditioning was added as were power brakes and power steering. The A/C alone cost over $5,000. The body is immaculate. Two new tires were put on the front recently. We seriously debated adding white wall tires - just for appearance sake, however, decided to forego that idea. There were a couple of oil spots on the floor of the garage but it appears to be minor as the car sat in the garage for months without moving. The radio appears "spotty" according to the owner. Not sure what that means - maybe an attenna issue? The mileage is listed as 29,000 miles, however, the odometer doesn't work, and the engine was replaced. Pennsylvania does not require odometer mileage for classic cars. You could probably drive the car from Florida to your home state just they way the car is now without any issues. I would, however, check it out for oil and fluid levels, etc. before adventuring. Please note in the photos the Eagle artwork on the inside of the hood - that's right - the inside of the hood. He paid an artist to do that work. It's really beautiful. Here is your chance to own a beautiful '57 Chevy classic. All reasonable offers will be considered.
