This Chevy Deluxe has one of the most interesting back stories of any vehicle we have come across. Supposedly. back in the 50's. this Chevy was used for running Moonshine out of the Lake of the Ozarks to Kansas City and St. Louis. It was built to appear as a traditional sleeper so that it would not raise any suspicions but underneath the hood. it was an entirely different ball game. Today. she has been fully restored to reflect her earlier years. Appearance wise. she is gorgeous and subtle. However. if you lay in to the gas and let off the clutch. be read to be shot down the road like a sling shot. The body of this Chevy has been completely gone through. All of the work was done professionally and the craftsmanship is superb. It has zero rust. All of the chrome. stainless. and window glass is in excellent condition. The paint is done in a two stage base coat clear coat. The paint and body work were done professionally and reflects that when you're walking around it. The rear suspension of the Chevy has been swapped out and replaced with a Ford 8 inch posi traction rear end. When you punch the gas. you can just feel how solid it is. The wheel and tire setup are practically new. The drive train within this Chevy has been completely gone through. The Chevy now has a built 355 motor with a Edelbrock performer intake which is topped off with an Edelbrock 650 carburetor. All of which is new. The Chevy also is powered by an HEI distributor. The exhaust setup is a 2 1/4 inch and it too is new. The Saginaw four speed transmission shifts out perfectly with out any issues. The entire drive train has less than a thousand miles on it. There are no leaks. it does not smoke. nor does it grind through gears. The entire brake and fuel system was also completely gone through. The Chevy soars easily down the road with out any issues. The interior of this Chevy was also completely gone through. The headliner. door panels. seat covers. carpet. it was all replaced during the restoration process. The interior is in great shape. Located below you will find close to 100 photos and video of the Chevy. I took every single one of the photos as well as the video. I can tell you with complete certainty that this is a very nice hot rod. You can either cruise it or if you need to get some frustration out. dump the clutch. stomp the gas. and hold on for dear life. If you're looking for a good dependable cruiser that is destined to win some awards. this is it. I will be evaluating all reasonable offers and I will in fact sell the Chevy. early as I do have it for sale "locally". My goal here is to sell the Chevy.
