I bought this truck, that had beensitting in a garage in Missouri, for several years. In the summer of 2016, here is whatdid to the truck. The 454 has been professionally rebuilt. Block was bored. Crank was turned. Rods were resized and SPS rod bolts were installed. Hypereutectic pistons and moly rings.New cam bearing and freeze plugs. Melling MTC-6 camshaft and lifters. Double roller chain and gears. Melling oil pump with pinned steel drive. Cylinder heads were rebuilt. New water pump, Carter muscle car 6lb fuel pump, new belts and hoses, new power steering pump, new power steering hoses, new rag joint on the steering box, new battery, plug wires and dist. Edelbrock electric choke carb with phenolic spacer plate on factory intake. NewHedmann headers that are hooked to 2 1/2 inch exhaust. H-pipe and Borla mufflers. Entire brake system is new. New brake booster and master cylinder. New brake calipers and hoses along with brake pads. Wheel bearing packed and rotors turned. New rear wheel cylinders and entire brake kit, springs, adjusters, etc. New brake shoes and new rear brake hose. Flywheel was resurfaced, with new clutch, pressure plate and t/o bearing. New clutch fork. New u-joints and carrier bearing. Fresh gear oil in the trans and rear-end. Truck is 4.10 gear ratio. Truck has dual tanks. One tank is new and both sending units were changed. New fuel selector valve and fuel line hoses were replaced. New tires, front and rear. Truck is wired, both in the bed for fifth wheel and rear bumper. New brake control unit. New aluminum radiator and clutch fan. Truck is rust free. Solid rust free floor pans. Some of the tan paint has patina. Bed has been sprayed with anti-skid. Engine was broken in with Valvoline VR1 oil with zinc. I continue to run that oil to protect the camshaft. Truck has 88000 miles on it. I have put about 6000 miles on it, including a trip out west and back. Truck was air, but I do not have the compressor or mounts. They had been taken off the truck whenI got it. Truck needs carpet and the front seat re-done. There are cracks in the dash pad. I have no desire to sell the truck, but I'm trying to finish off a 1969 GTO, that I have owned for 25+ years. Something has to go.... The truck can be driven anywhere. It's good to go.
