Description of 1952 Chevrolet Other Pickups Deluxe |
Here is a really nice hard to find 90% original little 3100 5 window pickup. Truck starts right up, runs as it should without smoke or abnormal noises. It has the desirable 235 inline 6 cylinder. Brakes work well as they should for 1952, it does pull to the left some under hard braking. It does not leave any oil drips in the drive currently, I say currently because it is an old truck and subject to old age issues. The glass is all original by the best I can tell, it is not broke in any of the panels. The paint has patina and has been clear coated over at some point to reserve the patina. It has some scrapes here and there, there is a dent under the right side rear fender as seen in the photos. The bed was replaced with oak and stainless strips about 2-3 years ago. It has a true split exhaust manifold allowing for true duel exhaust (which is about 1 year old.The interior is all new including the following, door panels, head liner, seat cover and the floor mat. It was done keeping the original appearance as close as possible.what it could use is maybe new tires as I have no idea how old the tires that are on it are and even though the have great tread left, I think for safety and peace of mind it would be advisable to replace them, door and window rubbers replaced if you wish. It does appear to have Chevrolet factory heating equipment, not sure how it works or if it does work. It does have turn signals also, not sure if that was factory or not, but the hardware appears old and era correct. This was purchased by me from my friend who has had it for some time now, he purchased it from a retired UCLA professor who originally purchased it in NAPA California where it spent it's life up until moving to Kansas and our small town of Abilene. He only lived here a short bit and returned to California at which point my friend purchased it from him. If your looking for something as close to original as possible with the great patina then this is one to seriously consider. I am traveling to California next Wednesday November 1st I will be traveling through New Mexico, Arizona and into LA for a few days on the way back I will be heading to Las Vegas through Utah on I-80 then Colorado on I-70 Home to Kansas if you are along this route and I would not have to travel to far off my path or could meet you along this route, I would put the truck in my enclosed trailer and haul it for $850 (diesel fuel cost a lot )Payment in FULL will be expected before I haul the truck, Via paypal or wire transfer, would accept cashiers check as long as it was sent over night and deposited in my bank before leaving. I would of course hold the truck here at my warehouse for a reasonable time frame until shipping or pickup arrangements could be made. I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime for any reasonable offer. TITLE IS CLEAN AND CLEAR KANSAS TITLE Questions: You can call me at 785-410-7615 or eBay email is fine also. |
