Thank you for looking at my auction of a 1967 Chevrolet or Chevy C10 restomod pickup truck. This is a short bed step side model and is in excellent rust-free condition! I bought it from a private party in North Carolina and drove it 15+ hours home to suburban Chicago where it now lives! Please note this vehicle is titled as 1969 GMC series 1500 but it has had several changes over time, thus the "restomod" listing! The front clip of this truck is from a 1967 C-10. The rear tailgate has had the chains removed and is welded and painted shut. It has a Chevy emblem painted on it. The bed is oak wood between the steel slats. This truck has a 350 cubic V8 crate motor from approximately 1992. The previous owner told me it was rebuilt about 10,000 miles ago. It has a 3 speed automatic transmission with a lot of "low end" power. The truck has a dent on the drivers side front bumper and fender. I actually BOUGHT it that way so I would not treat this classic as a trailer queen or garage potato. The driveability of this classic is not effected - I drove it close to 1,000 miles in 2 days! If you buy this you could fly in and drive it home too. The mileage is show as 69,000 plus and the odometer works but I have no idea if the mileage is correct. You are welcome to inspect the vehicle. Here are a few things that were done: new battery, window mechanisms repaired, replaced and lubricated, transmission o-ring and fluid replaced, rear axle bearings and seals repaired and replaced, new wheel cylinders and brake shoes, new differential fluid and pan gasket (This truck does not leak on the floor!). When I purchased the truck I had to install a thermostat and thermostat housing. The previous owner never tried or used the heater and it did not work! The heater control did not work either so we put a three setting heater/defroster switch in which works fine. This truck also has a Pioneer brand removable faceplate stereo with bluetooth and a single CD player. Please note this pick up in not perfect: The turn signals work but you have to turn them off manually. One of the interior turn signal indicator lights does not flash. The brake lights, headlights and turn signals all DO work. The tires are old. They work fine and are a very aggressive wider profile, raised white letter type as shown and they give the truck a low, muscular stance. This vehicle has power steering but manual brakes. They work fine. The carburetor is in good working condition but the choke is disconnected. All I do is start the truck and then you have to hold the gas pedal down for a minute or so until the engine warms a bit and then it idles fine. I suspect this is also a result of the trucks "Southern Life". There is spot by the passenger side where there is a rust spot as shown but only that is on the surface too. If you stick a magnet on the cab corners and other spots it will hold so this is a GREAT body but not perfect. The paint is a dark "Air Force" blue and looks better at night or from 10 feet away. I have the cigarette lighter and I will also include an old GPS which works (and is also a blue pick up truck icon) and which I leave in the truck which gives very accurate speed. Please note this is a TRUCK and rides like a TRUCK! It is noisy, bounces around and is loud, especially when it revs higher on the highway. The exhaust is cut and comes out behind the rear wheels and sounds great. I am selling this local too and the main reason is snow is coming to Chicago and I do not want to ruin this great body so it will be sold or stored rather than driven in it. I never drove the truck in the rain and so even though it has new windshield wiper blades I never used them! If you have any questions please ASK before you bid. You should know I have bought and sold several vehicles on eBay and had mostly positive experiences. I am a married family man and would not knowingly endanger you! Having said that any sale is final and this vehicle is being sold as-is and where-is. The reserve is reasonable. Please only bid if you INTEND to and CAN afford to buy. My cell is (312)498-3700 and I live 20 minutes from O'Hare airport. Thank you and good luck bidding!
