Description of 1989 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 Silverado |
Yes. I know the plow is probably worth more than the truck. but a new transmission on a work truck is peace of mind. Plow works fine. In fact last winter I darn near paid the value of this truck in one season. and this truck has a lot of seasons and off seasons left in it. 148K original miles puts this truck on a long road ahead. Sure. last winter was good for snow removal. but even an average winter with an inexpensive truck like this and good Meyer plow it will mean positive cash flow. And when the snow stops flying. that's fine because this truck will do anything you can ask a pickup to do. Many new parts: new rebuilt transmission. And it was done by nationally known professionals not some friends uncle. Of course I have nothing against a good mechanic who works on the side. but when you want to prove the transmission is worth something. the paperwork comes with the pro. Warranty available from Pro Transmission until Jan 2016. I mean. really. I just had the work done. This also included a new torque converter. not a rebuild. New spark plugs and wires. distributor and coil. and computer. New free flow exhaust. New K&N free flow air filter. Oil/filter change 400 miles ago. These parts represent a the solid simple ways to get the best bang for your buck in power and fuel economy. New Interstate brand battery. New relay for the plow. New trip spring insures all three are working. This truck and this plow were taken care of. Tires are not new. but I wasn't planning on replacing them until at least next season. AM/FM cassette seems to work fine but I only use the radio. I don't know if the AC works. but the heat works fine (I just didn't use it enough in the summer). This truck should run for a long time. especially with the new rebuilt transmission. and it will give you good service for the little invested. eBay Turbo ListerThe free listing tool.
