Description of 1949 Chevrolet Other Pickups 3100 60+ Photos |
If you This Truck is a tremendous amount of fun both cosmetically and mechanically. It requires no amount of tinkering. You can simply park it in the garage and when you're ready, hop in, fire her up, and take off. One of the best parts, there is still room to make your mark on this Truck. Patina out the paint, maybe take the interior back to stock, whatever you think it will take to bring it to the next level. It could be your next canvas. The mechanical aspect of this Truck is superb. It was constructed by a professional mechanic who was as meticulous as he was methodical. I anticipate that the first person who comes out and drives it will be leaving with it. I feel that confident in its drivability. It has a nicely built 283 in it that is backed by a 700R automatic transmission. Neither the engine nor transmission have any mechanical issues. The engine is strong and does not leak. The transmission shifts smoothly with out any hesitation. It cruises down the road like a newer Truck and that is due largely in part to the Camaro subframe that was properly installed. Today, the Truck has disc brakes on the front, power steering, and tilt. Within the interior of the Truck, you'll find that it has a newer set of aftermarket gauges, door panels, arm rests, and headliner. The door handles on both doors are in great shape both in functionality and cosmetic appearance. The windows roll up and down with ease. The only thing that does not work on this Truck is the horn. All of the gauges, radio, and wiper blades work. The cab of the Truck as well as the frame of the Truck is solid. The flatbed section of the Truck was built by a skilled carpenter who did an exceptional job. We just recently restained it in a dark stain (Espresso). The paint on the Truck I would call driver quality. It wasn't done poorly, it just has some age to it. The Truck is currently sitting on a nice set of Corvette Rallys with a set of Baby Moons. They are wrapped in a newer set of BF Goodrich radial tires. All of the glass through out the Truck is in good shape. This would make a great shop Truck for any small business owner. It is as reliable as it is fun but probably the most stand out item that this Truck provides, a talking piece. Every where it goes, people just flock to it. So if you don't like a lot of attention, you might shy away from this one. We do have a clear Missouri title for the Truck. If you need assistance with any of the following, please don't hesitate to ask.
