Up for bid is a 1963 Chevy Impala Sport Coupe. The car is usually trailered to events and received a Senior award at the AACA Fall Meet in Hershey in October of 2014. It is highly detailed inside and out and underneath. Exterior: The car was painted in 2006 by the previous owner with urethane paint and it has held up extremely well. The exterior is red and has had most of the trim replaced because of minor dings. The following moldings were changed. Side moldings. hood lip. rear tail light. front headlight eyebrows. side sashes on fender along with the tri color v emblems. The hubcaps were all taken apart and polished. The paint has a few minor blemishes in the paint but nothing that is that bad. The chrome is original and has a few scuffs but still shines nicely. Interior: The carpet is new along with the sun visors and the sail panels and the door and window cranks other then that the interior is all the way it came from the factory in 1963. When I purchased the car in 2009 the shifter was on the floor and the column shift lever was the floor. After taking it for judging I put the shift back on the column where it was from the factory. Once I did that I had to replace the column and it shifts fine now and runs smooth. Engine : The engine is detailed nicely and the 283 ci runs great. It starts easily and shifts thru the gears nicely. I has a new Excide battery and a cover to make it look original. It also has a new radiator and all the correct clamps needed for judging. Chassis: The whole underneath of the car is painted in semi gloss paint to look clean and new for judging. The exhaust is also painted from front to back with new Walker mufflers which give it a nice tone and duplicate the look of the original mufflers. The car comes with two sets of tires one set of 1" whitewall bias for judging and a set of radials for driving. It also comes with two sets of hub caps. One set of standard and one set of spoke. I don't really have to sell this car but I am looking for something different like a Challenger. Cuda. Chevelle. or who knows. Trade possible. If you have any questions please feel free to email me and I will answer them as soon as possible. I think that I have described the car accurately but also remember that the car is not brand new. Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer so I will work with anyone to load the car after full payment is made. Sols as is/ where is. There are some photos with wide white wall tires that do not go with the car.
