This 1963 Chevy II looks like a normal granny car. with its worn paint and tarnished britework it looks kinda beat. The car is anything but beat. The paint is worn a little surface rusty but the car has good bones! The paint is old and the car has had some repair on the quarters that is starting to show. The bumpers are new and a few other trim pieces are new. The car is a blast to drive because you dont have to worry about you 10k repaint. I have a box full of reciepts to document the build. First the car was fitted with a TCI frontend. consisting of IFS Mustang II style suspension with tubular control arms. dropped spindles. A power rack and sway bars. The frame was tied together and Cal Tracs rear suspension was installed. The powerplant is an Aluminum headed 383 stroker roller motor. This thing spins up quick! The car has an air gap aluminum intake manifold. aluminum heads. a Comp custom grind roller cam. Demon 750 race carb. aluminum water pump. billet pulleys. big aluminum radiator. Street Fire HEI ingnition and Hooker headers. The transmission is a TH 350 with a 3000 rpm stall converter. The rear axle is a Ford 8. 8 Traction lock with aftermarket clutch packs and Moser rear cover. To stop this thing 4 wheel disc brakes with drilled and slotted rotors were installed along with a strange master cylinder. On the inside the whole car was freshened. seats. door panels. carpeting and the headliner looks to be new. The dash has all been refinished along with all other painted parts on the inside. Aftermarket gauges were installed in the dash to keep an eye on the vitals. A Hurst Pro Matic 2 shifter was also installed. Matching seat belts were also installed for saftey. The cars agressive look is achieved with the lowered suspension and the 17 inch Rocket Racing wheels with a grey finish.
