Description of 1972 Chevrolet Other Pickups Custom Deluxe |
1972 Chevrolet C20 Custom Deluxe, Custom Camper, Special Promotional Package C Highlander. Excellent condition interior with correct highlander plaid, seat belts very good condition, tight tilt steering, PS, PB, A/C (compressor spins and all parts there, not cold though), new door seals. GM replacement 350 with stock TH350 trans. Starts right up and runs well. All lights, turn signals, lighter, factory radio, and gauges work with the possible exception of the fuel gauge (I added about 4 gallons and the needle didn't move much at all). Factory NL2 Auxiliary Fuel Tank intact, but not used - I only drive it off the main cab tank. One repaint somewhere along the way (tailgate is original paint and very straight, apparently off truck for a good while - original owner had a camper and then a camper shell on it for most of its life). Overall solid body. Minor rust spots at lower left corner of driver's door, low on the bedside in front of the right rear wheelwell, top surface of some of the stake pockets have some rust where the camper was attached, camper boot rash around the rear slider (just black, no rust), and some paint chips are on the front of the hood (no dents) - have tried to show clearly in the pictures. Door bottoms only have some minor surface rust. Original bed wood. New fuel pump, new battery, 5 powder-coated 16" GM wheels with 5 nearly new (I'd estimate I've only driven about 100 miles on them) Firestone LT265/75/R16 tires. Stops safely, but will need a brake job in the not too distant future. Truck isn't perfect of course, have tried to show from all angles in the pics - but it's pretty nice. Actual mileage isunknown.Sold as is of course. Has been a great truck but have decided to sell to make some room for a different 72 I'm working on. I purchased from the original owner in 2013, and have extensive original paperwork, including protecto-plate, build sheet, etc, to include pictures of the truck over the years. Please let me know if you have any questions or need any additional pictures. And yes, you get to keep the classic USA-1 and Indiana Farm Truck plates! Current TX Title in my name, ready to go. Reserve is very reasonable for this classic truck with its nice option list and overall condition. Thanks for looking. |
