Enjoy the video of this 1966 Chevy Malibu HERE. The exterior showcases a brilliant red with restored brightwork & chrome. SS396 badging was added along with a steel SS396 hood during the restoration. The paint has an excellent shine & finish front to back. There are some flaws in the paint, a few tiny chips along the door edges and a few other flaws (photographed) Altogether very presentable paint that shows well. It's a good driver quality paint job. The doors, hood, and decklid align correctly as well. The restored OEM-type interior features red bench seating with matching seat belts. The dash displays the Super Sport badge and factory instrumentation along with a vintage-type MOON tachometer. This car is an original Malibu Sport Coupe, cloned into an SS396. The block casting number shows the engine to be a 454 big block from a 1973-85 car or truck. The 454 engine runs strong, be sure to play the video. It has breathing modifications with upgraded 4bbl. carburetor, aluminum intake & headers. The firewall, inner fenders and core support sheetmetal is solid. There's some tiny rust bubbles around the rear window trim. The vin# shows that the car was a 6 cylinder 3 speed manual from the factory.
The glass is in good condition left & right. 10-bolt differential, undercarriage appears to be solid throughout and in good shape. Note the paint chip on Super Sport emblem area above.
