Description of 1993 Chevrolet C/K Pickup 1500 |
Chevrolet called this the " Work Truck " packag, no frill, just a work truc, and it lives up to its name. In low range 1st gear I think this truck would climb a tree, I have pulled 16 ft long trailers hauling 120 bales of hay on these WV hills or trailer loads of log, it is impressive how much torque and pulling power the V 6 and low range 4x4 can produce . This truck has been a true work horse and has served me well since I bought it new. It burns no oil and has no major drips if any underneath of the truck. I bought this truck new back in 1993 it only has 138955 actual miles on it, I used the truck to commute to wor, daily driverand as a farm truck, the truck is in rough condition body wise, rust on the fram, undercarriage etc,and interior is rough but mechanically it is very sound. I changed the oil on it every 3000 mile, I spentLOTS of money on LOTS ofmaintenance upgrades and truckhas been driven very little since then, the truck is very mechanically soun, it has a heavy duty clutch as well. Tires are decent. The truck has a salvage title reason being I struck a deer a few years ago and the insurance company totaled the truck and paid me for the damages and let me keep the truck. I have put over $3500 in parts plus labor. Truck has V-6 and runs great and starts easy. It is the work truck package no air conditionin, manual 5 speed four wheel drive and high and low range transmission shifts well and four wheel drive works fine. have not had license on it for a few year, I start it occasionally and drive it on the farm some just to keep things working.
