Up for auction today we have this very rare and desirable 1956 2-door Handyman Wagon. Vehicle has been within our family in Bakersfield, CA for 50 years. Vehicle was purchased by a brother-in-law after he returned from Vietnam (1968). He equipped it with a small block Chevy, 4 speed, and diamond tuck interior. As a youngster, I remember riding around in this car. It was his pride and joy. Since his passing in the early 80's, it's been passed around the "family" and stored in a number of different locations. Somewhere along the line, engine and trans were removed. Exterior body appears to be pretty solid and complete. Floor boards, jams, and pans also appear very solid with very minimal signs of rust or decay. Interior is intact and complete with original split back front bench seat and fold down rear seat. Surprisingly, all original side and rear glass remain intact and uncracked (very hard to come by). With each passing year these KOOL 2-door Handyman Wagons become rarer and more sought after. You can see many fine restored examples online. Values continue to increase on these rare jewels. This solid classic would make an Excellent candidate for restoration. Please, please ask all questions prior to bidding. Email, call, or text me with any questions. I will do my best to answer promptly. Upon sale, I'm willing to assist with shipping and delivery. You can call me at (661) 817-2786. Thanks for your consideration, Mike.
