Description of 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

Hello and welcome to our auction. We have for you a fine classic 1972 Chevy Monte Carlo. This olive green metallic 2 door hardtop has a big block 454 with lots of goodies on it to make it a true Muscle Car. Let's start with the exterior. The paint is in good shape but this car was originally a landau top vehicle and could use better sanding and paint in that area. There is also some minor rust on the rear fender wells. Check pics for details. With minor body work and new paint this can be show quality. We have acquired all the proper trim work for this Monte. so you will not need to track down these elusive parts. The frame rails are excellent with no rust and the floor pans are in good shape with only a very small hole in the rear drivers side. The trunk is very solid. All the brightwork is in good to excellent condition. All in all. this is a very solid car. On the inside. the white interior is in fine condition with no rips or tears. The carpet is in good condition. as is the headliner. The dash cluster looks a little aged but is solid. All the glass is intact and in good condition. We just purchased new weatherstripping for the windows and they seal perfectly with no leaks or air whistling sounds. Under the hood is where this car shines! The big block 454 is extremely strong and solid with lots of chrome to dress it up. It has an Edelbrock Performer intake with a Holley 4 bbl carb on top. We removed the original factory fan and installed dual electric fans to aid in cooling and add a little power(kept the original for those who may want it). We just installed new Hooker ceramic coated long-tube headers with 2. 5 inch pipes and Flowmaster 40 Series mufflers and oversize chrome tips to help the big block breathe better and sound incredible. Professionally done with mandrel bent tubing. this exhaust molds itself to the underside of the car and looks as good as it sounds. The 10 bolt limited slip rear end helps put the power to the pavement on this beast. Almost forgot. this is a factory A/C car and the box is still there but the lines are gone. This is a great entry muscle car with much potential. Would qualify it as a condition 3. 5 car. not quite a condition 4(fair) car but not a show piece either.
