Up for auction is a 1/2 ton, big back window, long bed, fleet-side Chevy Apache. I have been the owner of this truck for the past 42 years. Originally it was from Washington state but has been in Southern California since before I purchased in 1975. It has never been completely torn down, but has never needed it. It has the original 235 inline 6 cylinder engine with a 4 speed General Motors trans. It still has the original starter pedal on the floor. The engine and carburetor were rebuilt last year. The radiator and gas tank were flushed and pressure tested last year as well. It has a limited slip rear end. The front bumper, head light bezels, and grill are all chromed. However, the grill does has a tiny 1/4" ding. The rear bumper is a heavy duty steel step bumper. The bench seat is in good condition, with no rips or tears. It has a seat cover over the bench seat to protect it. The tires were purchased about 1 year ago, but probably don't have over 100 miles on them. The truck mostly sits in the garage. There is a Pioneer radio/CD player mounted in the glove compartment. The brakes were inspected recently and they are in good condition. The wood bed was replace about 10 years ago and is Apitong wood. Also included are 3 stock rims, three stock hubcaps, a spare tire rack that mounts under the truck, and the original column shifter and linkage. This is a daily driver, but in very nice condition. It has some scratches and scrapes but the body is strait with no dents. There are no rust issues, or major damage of any kind. I hate to sell it, but I need the garage space. The outside mirrors are loose and should be replaced. The odometer does not work, so I don't know there actual milage. The original temp doesn't work, but it has an after market gauge mounted under the dash that works just fine. The mechanical fuel pump has been bypassed with an electric fuel pump. There are two chips/BB holes (from about 30 years ago) in the front windshield, but they are not "cracks", and are not spreading. The personalized license plates are not included. I plan to advertise outside of Ebay and reserve the right to cancel this eBay listing at any time. If you would like to make arrangements for an inspection of the vehicle, I will be happy to schedule a personal appointment with either yourself or your representative. Once the truck sells, it doesn'tleave my driveway until funds clear. No returns, sold as-is and no warrant expressed or implied. All shipping arrangements must be made by buyer. A deposit of $1,000.00 (non re-fundable, via paypal must be made within 24 hours of the end of the auction. The remaining balance must be made with a bank transfer, cash, or certified check within 7 calendar days, No exceptions. If you win the bid, you are obligated to complete the purchase. |
