Description of 1971 Chevrolet Blazer CST |
Honest, fully-optioned 1st Gen Blazer. Two owners in Fredricksburg, Texas, bought 20 years ago for my cabin in Eastern Washington where I use it to launch my ski boat and take the occasional run into town or the golf course a few times a year. Pretty much a dry life. Some rust in the door rockers, the driver's side A-pillar and floor at the door rockers / front kick panels, but not much for these trucks - far better than most. Everything else is solid and straight - door bottoms, torque boxes, rocker panels, tailgate, quarters and fenders. The top is about average with no back lift door. One Maaco paint job as far as I can tell. All the original trim comes with the vehicle, along with complete service records from new. A/C doesn't work but all the components are there. All the gauges, lights and wipers work. Gas gauge isn't accurate. Uncut dash in the radio hole. Full instrumentation with factory tach, upgraded to 3/4 ton brakes for hauling the boat. 350 Target Master motor (in the truck when I bought it) could use valve grind, seals and guides, but never fails to start, even after sitting 6 months in sub-freezing weather. Drives out very well, all of the 4-wheel drive components fully operational. Auto transmission works well, the tailshaft seal weeps a little. Buyer will have the option to inspect the truck prior to shipping and decline purchase with no penalty. Full payment before shipping, bidders with less than 10 Ebay transactions must contact seller prior to bidding or bids will be automatically cancelled. |
