Description of 1977 Chevrolet G20 Van "Shorty" 100% Rust Free |
||||||||||||||||||||
Original 1977 Chevrolet G20 rare "Shorty" Panel Van. This is a 100% rust free California survivor. The body, chassis and frame are completely solid without one single spec of rust, rust repair, blisters or bubbles anywhere whatsoever. This is the perfect starter kit van to make perfect! All panel fitment is a+ and everything is solid and tight. The van has never been modified or abused. There are no major dents other than the damage on the sliding door and right rear upper quarter panel which can be clearly seen in the photos. There is a golf ball size dent on the passenger fender. The paint still retains a lovely shine throughout. -Complete with all emblems, trim, lights and lenses-Nice chrome front and rear bumpers with no pitting and just various dings and imperfections-Beautiful grille-Nice wheels, the tires all hold air however they are mismatched and have dry cracks The van has been sitting for a number of years, however it starts right up and sounds good. Upon acceleration there is a tap in the engine. There are no obvious leaks or smoke. The van idles fine and runs fairly well at idle. Due to a high volume of restorations we are doing at the present time we do not have the time orresourcesto do anything with this van other than offer it to the eBaycommunity as a project vehicle. The engine could need a complete overhaul or maybe just some tlc. Althoughthe transmission does shift into forwardand reverse gears, the short distance we drove it we did feel some hesitation so it is more than likely the transmission will need to be overhauled. The brakes stopped the van fine and the suspension seemed to be in good working order in the short distance we drove it. The electrical systems seemed to work properly when tested. -Spare tire and all tools required to change a flat The current odometer reading is 41,298, however due to the 5 digit odometer we re unable to authenticate the actual mileage. Pictures speak a 1,000 words so what you see is what you get, nothing more, nothing less. This "shorty" gets a thumbs up for it's lovely original solid body and patina. Mechanically it will need some TLC and in our opinion it is definitely worth fixing. Due to it's current mechanical condition this vanwill not be offered to any California buyers. Out of state or country buyers only. We priority/overnight titles to out of state or country buyers titles immediately after payment is cleared. This Van is also available for sale at other venues and is subject to removal from the auction at anytime should it be sold. If you have any questions call Manny at 310-259-5383 or e-mail.
