Description of 1993 Chevrolet Camaro

We are the proud owners of this really solid Z28 Camaro. First. I would like to remind any potential bidders that this is a 22-year old car. While it is in very nice condition. it is not perfect. Here. you will find my honest evaluation of the Z28:Paint & Body:The black paint is in decent condition for its age. There are some thin spots on the rear deck lid around the spoiler and on the rooftop as well. All in all. it looks nice and shines nicely if kept waxed. There are some dings and scratches here and there with one actual dent on the right rear quarter panel. It's about tennis ball sized. but not deep at all. It's hard to spot if you are not aware of where to look. All glass is good and without cracks. NO RUST!!!!!All light lenses are good and without cracks. Wheels are nice Torque Thrust II's with new center caps. The rear tires are almost new with only a few hundred miles on them. The fronts are a little older but are in fine shape with plenty of tread on them. Rear tire size is 275 40 ZR17. Front tire size is 245 45 ZR17. All tires are matched BF Goodrich G-Force Super Sport. They give the car a very nice aggressive looking stance. Interior:The cloth seats are in near perfect condition without tears or rips. Driver's seat is power and operates correctly. Headliner is excellent. All switches and lights operate as designed. The dash pad is NOT in good condition. As most of these cars have cracks in the dash. so does this one. There is a vinyl cover glued over the dash cap which helps it look better. but it really should be replaced. You can get a GM unit for about $300. 00. Carpet is excellent and also retains the OEM GM floor mats. All other interior panels are in great shape. The gauges all operate perfectly with the exception of the fuel gauge. It reads about 1/4 tank off as pretty much other 4th Gen Camaro does. Engine & Driveline:Being a Z28. of course this car has the 5. 7L fuel injected 350. The engine in this car is VERY healthy. There is absolutely no smoke. noises. or any other ill effects from the engine. Cold start-up yields 60 lbs of oil pressure. 20 lbs when hot. Being a professional mechanic of years past. I have been able to maintain. repair. and upgrade many parts of this car. The intake manifold was removed and resealed with new gaskets and new fuel injector O-rings. Recent GM fuel pump. New aluminum air intake elbow. Under drive BBK pulley. The Opti-spark was replaced with a MSD unit which was sent to MSD for a total rebuild with all new internals. Spark plugs and wires are also new. Almost every sensor on the engine has been replaced. including: Coolant temp sender for gaugeICMIATTemp sensor for PCMIACEGREGR valve solenoid controlFuel pressure regulatorNew AC Delco air injection pump. Air conditioning compressor. dryer and expansion valve. Exhaust is factory but somewhere along the line the catalytic converter was removed. There are new OEM style 304 stainless steel tips welded onto the exhaust pipes exactly where the stock ones were. The car has a really nice deep sound to it and you wouldn't guess it's factory without looking. Transmission is a 6-speed and works well. It does NOT have any noises or whines coming from it and the oil was recently changed. The rear 3:23 gears are also very quiet and there is new gear oil in the differential unit. A Hurst mid-length shifter and white Hurst knob are also installed. Suspension & Brakes:All four brake rotors are new. drilled and slotted type with new pads at all four corners. The rear lower control arms and pan hard bar have been replaced with Founder's Performance pieces and are the tubular type. The front end has ALL NEW MOOG PARTS and was completely rebuilt only a few months ago. including: Upper and Lower ball jointsTie rodsUpper and Lower control arm bushings (Updated articulating style bushings installed in the inside. lower front control arm positions)NOS rear shocksVery low mile OEM shocks in the frontAll sway bar bushings are replaced with Poly typeTrack bar mount is PolyBMR strut tower brace is installedRack and Pinion steering unitAll front end parts have ONLY 175 miles on them. The alignment was performed and the car tracks straight and true. Overall. this 1993 Z28 is a really nice ride. The underside of the car as well as the engine and engine bay are SPOTLESS! I get compliments on it every time I take it out and where ever I go. It starts right up every time. It runs well and stops well. It handles VERY nicely with all of the new suspension parts. While there are some imperfections in the paint with some scratches here and there. it still presents well and anyone would be proud to own this car. It has a clean title and I have receipts dating back about 2-years. All fluids are within two years old. The car needs nothing and is ready to go. Contact me with any questions at 719-240-1114. Serious bidders only. Good Luck!
