Little Red Corvette family owned since new in 82. Newer Motor & Transmission! Odometer reads 50. 00 but actual miles are 150. 00. The Vehicle was purchased by my Aunt in 82 from a Chevy dealer in Huntington Beach area. Most of the miles were put on by her traveling to Delmar (horse) Race Track on the weekends from the San Fernando Valley Area. In 87. she decided to Upgrade to a Black 92 convertible. She couldn't bear to part with the 82. so it sat in her Garage for 5 years. My Brother bought it from her in 92 as a 2nd car for the weekends. It was his baby. He had the front and rear Rubber (warped) bumpers replaced with the less troublesome Fiberglass units. He then had it painted Torch Red. The bucket seats were re upholstered in Black Leather. He had the Engine replaced at 132. 00 mi. so around 17. 00 mi currently on the motor. In 2004 the fuel pump stopped working. so the car sat in his garage for 4 years until 2008 when he passed away. That's when I came into possession of the vehicle with 141. 00 miles on it. Since I have owned the car. it has received the following treatment:THE GOOD~Less than 20K on newer 5. 7 liter 350 motor. ~2009 New Fuel Pump~2009 New Computer Module~2010 New 700R4 Transmission with a mild shift kit installed. ~2011 New Plugs. ires. Cap & Rotor. ~2012 New Front End Bushings~Instrument cluster & guage lights replaced. ~Comes with Original Owners Manual. ~Bra for the Front end~T-Top protector covers. The Vette is a great weekend car. and you get Thumbs Up every time you take it out for a drive. The New Owner can take the Vette to the next level if they desire. or drive it to the beach on the weekend as I did. I should also mention that it was the last year of the C3 body style. The Crossfire Fuel Injection was used on the 82 as the last year of the C3 style. Prior to 82. the Corvette had not used Fuel Injection since 1965. The Crossfire Injection brought the HP rating up to 200 HP. or 20 more HP over the previous year in California. The Corvette was also the most powerful American production car for 82. These cars are becoming rarer as time progresses. The Vette has been in California all of its life. Since I have owned the car. it has never seen the rain. I have driven about 8000 miles on the car in 6 years. The Vette has been well taken care of but is 32 years old. and NOT without flaws. THE BAD:The car could use a new paint job as indicated in some of the photos. but it's good enough to get thumbs up from the other motorists. The door and window seals are old. The Air conditioning doesn't blow cold. It has very slow intermittent oil leak from the rear of the engine. I'm sure there is something else I'm leaving out. but nothing major as the Motor & Trans have less than 17. 00 miles on it. THE UGLY:I love this car. and it has served me well. However. this car was a weekend for me. so little quirks or flaws may have gone un-noticed or accepted. I have driven this car to weekend events with no problems. but would not suggest it be driven home if bought from outside the state. I have been honest in my description as can be. If anything has been missed or left out it was unintentional. The car is over 30 years old. and need to sell it hence the reason for no reserve. I would feel better if the car is sold local. or you should have a friend that lives in the area view the car in person BEFORE you bid. Happy Bidding!
