Description of 1973 Chevrolet Nova |
1973 Chevrolet Nova SS hatchback PROJECT car. Frame on restoration was started by previous owner and I've never gotten around to completing it and need the floor space and $$$ to devote to finishing another project. The car is a pretty solid foundation to start with but like all Nova's of this era it has its rust issues. The right front rocker has two rust spots. One is the size of a quarter and the other the size of a half dollar maybe bigger (see pictures). there is rust bubbles starting to form on the outer shell of both doors (see pictures). drivers side roof A pillar has a rust spot (see pictures). both front fenders need patches on bottom dog legs and someone has patched two spots under the rear seat that is riveted and I'm not sure what's underneath it (see pictures). Everything else in regards to the body is rock solid unless otherwise noted above. The rust you see on quarters is surface rust and the hatchback is rust free. The engine is a rebuilt small block 350 bored to a 355 connected to an automatic rebuilt trans with disc brakes up front and ten bolt rear end (not sure of gear ratio). It is an original bucket seat. floor shift car. All the seats will need to be redone. All interior panels are there for the hatchback and door panels (someone drilled speaker holes in the center of them. (see pictures) with the exception of the headliner. carpet and dash pad and possibly some misc pieces. Also included in this auction is a 1974 parts car that is pictured. The front clip on the parts car is the one that belongs on the 1973. As I stated before the fenders on the clip will need rust repair on bottom dog legs. Everything else such as the hood. core support and inner fender wells on front clip are solid. I was also using the windshield out of this car for the 1973. All the glass. trim. doors and misc parts on parts car are useable. The rest of the shell is very rusty. If you buy the car and just want me to transplant the front clip and other good. salvageable items onto the 1973 to save on shipping I'm willing to do that as well. Please feel free to ask any questions or concerns before you bid! Item is being sold in an AS IS. AS PICTURED condition! Vehicle is available for inspection by appointment and strongly encouraged any time before the auction ends.
