Description of 1967 Chevrolet Corvette |
EXTREMELY RARE FACTORY RED ON RED! Probably wont see another again!!! This is a 1967 Stingray Coupe Factory Rally Red with Factory Red Vinyl interior. Extremely Rare Factory Red on Red . I had it appraised by a pro, and he absolutely loved it. " And it starts right up " is what he said. My reserve is what he appraised the car at. Comes with Certified appraisal. It was completed Sept 1966 and shipped to dealer. Its a survivor, never restored. It is the base model 327-300hp, AM-FM, Soft Ray glass with Shoulder harnesses. Under 80000 miles. This rare Color Combo "EXTREMELY RARE", makes this car a good bet to place your money on for a 1967 Vette! So I said it again. RARE!! I've driven it 1-2 times a month since I bought it in 2017. Its a blast to drive!!! There are nicks, dings, imperfections, scratches on the original paint, engine bay, frame, ect...just like you would want when buying an original 67 Vette. My mechanic has looked it over when installing the Air Shocks {he works on classic Corvettes routinely besides getting peoples go to work cars safe and up to speed} While at the shop, they took a look at the engine bearings, and 1 of the 2 said, no problem, drive it, just don't run it hard into the Red line, the other said, you could throw a rod, and if it went thru the block, it wont be numbers matching. Again full disclosure here. That was 5 months ago, and I drive it 3000-3600 rpm with no worries. No big issues to worry about. It did have a little bump to left front end, but not a big one, so just full disclosure here again, and no major repair. If a person wanted to do a full restoration, this RED ON RED from factory would be well worth the effort, and well worth the money. Or, if you just wanted to leave it as is, its a blast. I added Monroe Air Shocks, and have the original clock at an antique car radio shop being serviced. SOLD AS I, AND WILL NOT SHIP IT. BUYER MUST PICK UP IN PERSON, and when that happens, if you don't want to complete the deal, no problem. But don't plan on buying it for less, because I wont do that. You wont find much to gripe about when you do pick it up. Ask any and all questions before bidding, and once again, buyer must pick it up. I have driven it over 300 miles on the highway with no overheating, even at 4000-4500 Rpms it just cruized down the highway, but since my mechanic inspected it after that Highway drive home when I bought it, I haven't gone over 3500rpms. Oil pressure is good! This car is 67 Vette is truly iconic! RARE RED ON RED ! Clear title in hand. On Feb-17-18 at 21:27:06 PST, seller added the following information: I should point out the car was a 1-2 owner car in a couple small towns nearby me. It has a story that goes with it to the effect of, it was only sold from original owner to next person conditionally, that it stayed in its original area....before they decided to sell it to a dealer, years late, then I bought it. There is no protectoplate, and not sure if the tank sticker is there or not. On Feb-18-18 at 06:49:54 PST, seller added the following information: At 2500-2600 RPM, car glides at 70 mph smooth, no pulling left or right On Feb-18-18 at 07:55:55 PST, seller added the following information: Here is m 2 cents on evaluating this car. Only my opinion as an avid investor in any and all markets. As an investment, this rare color combo, will only increase in value while others may stagnate a bit, go up and a tad bit down, then up, then a tad bit down, rct. 1967 Corvette Stingray Coupes will increase in value. Does not matter that its a base model and not a Tri power Stinger hood car. Those cars are very high priced if the real deal, and not one that's made over to look like one { seen a few of those on ebay }. RED is in my opinion, the ICONIC color for a 1967 Corvette, and to have factory red interior.....so few were produced....you can check it yourself. Auction will now run its course with no stopping early even if reserve met. Don't miss it....... On Feb-18-18 at 11:19:10 PST, seller added the following information: If you need a picture of engine stamp pad, message me as I can not add more pictures after bids...... On Feb-18-18 at 11:35:28 PST, seller added the following information: sorry about the light reflections on trim tags...they are clean as a whistle On Feb-19-18 at 10:58:55 PST, seller added the following information: Full disclosure again as I am not interested in selling this car unless the person buying it wants it. An astute corvette enthusiast-teacher, noted that this car does not have the original master brake unit, the radiator is not original, and the shocks are not original. I DO NOT have the originals. The car does leak some oil, but Ive only added a quart in past 6 months. Those are things any serious buyer would want to know. I do know that this car is a solid investment compared to a lot of 67 vettes out there...Red on Red.......Another enthusiast-teacher felt this MIGHT BE, MIGHT BE. the very first RED on RED Base model produced....hope this helps anyone interested |
