Description of 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle |
1964Chevelle Malibu SS, complete frame off restoration completed by "Unique Classic and Customsâ€, this vehicle is in immaculate shape, with no imperfections. Clean MN title. 327 2 speed powerglide (rebuilt). I bought this car in 2008 (see orginal pictures). I began the resoration project by myself and soon was in over my head. Over the next six years I had help from a friend that restores cars. In 2015(partial completed picture) I brought the car to Unique Specialties and Classics in Mankato, MN to have the car finished, as I wasn't able to do it on my own. Unique competedthe reassemblyand Jenkins Auto Body in Mapleton, MN did the body/paint. I have completedetailed pictures of the entire restoration project from start to finish. I have every invoice and parts list that was put into the car. I kept maticulous and very detailed records of the resoration, including the cost. As you can imagine the cost is much more than I'm selling it for, however my wife has given me the ultimatum, the car of her! So the car it is! Based on comparabled and the cost of the restoration I'm going to hold firm on the $30,000, so please only serious inquires. Regarding the engine, it is out of a 1967 Camero, and is stock 275HP. However at some point the engine was rebuiltand had a large cam put in. I got the engine "horse trading" parts, and don't know the history of the last rebuild. The engine is the only thing I did not touch, and the cam has a slight knock, so at some piont the engine will have to be looked at. Again, the engine is the only thing I have not touched (this is why my wife wants it gone). I have done extensive research on the car. I have all this documented and cataloged along with the entire restoration project. Unfortunately the VIN plate had previously been removed, that is why it was removed during this project. It has been reattached with the original factory rivets. Car does have front disc conversion. |
