Pictures of the underside of the car:https://imgur.com/a/NXLykIt was spray coated before I bought it 20 years ago. It's in really good shape for such an old car!
I've owned this car for 20 years. Prior to that, it was my neighbors baby.
It has been to the pumpkin run several times, and many car shows! It has a nice trunk that we would display it's trophies in it while at the shows.
Now comes it's most recent story.I've always had dreams of restoring this car to 100% with a frame off restoration. (Even tho it really doesn't need one)I would only drive it on nice days, and keep it in the garage otherwise. One year, after winter I went to start it up and found out that the fuel pump went bad.Since I have been in the process of seeking disability, I have been unable to repair it myself. Both for physical and monetary reasons. It killed me to have to leave it sit in the garage for a few years. I purchased a new fuel pump, fuel filter, and hoses for it, and had planned to get it started back up, I pulled the old pump out, cleaned off the old gasket on the engine, and attempted to install the new pump, but I just can't deal with working on it anymore, sadly. I guess I'm past my years of being able to tool on a car for fun.
ANYWAY. Prior to the fuel pump failing, it was a regular driver. It has had a new transmission put in it. (The car was originally a column shift, but it has been converted to a 4 on the floor.)
Since it has been sitting, I can see that it is going to need a new brake master cylinder. The original one has developed a rusty muck in the bottom, and the lines have lost fluid pressure, so it will need to be replaced and lines flushed.
It just needs a little TLC, and someone who can physically do it!
AAMCO put a transmission and Complete Clutch assembly in it in 2003. Milage at the time was 60,091.I will throw in the new fuel pump so that you can get it fired up relatively soon.
The car will go to the highest offer! I have locals interested as well, so there is a chance this gets pulled down. Good luck!
