Description of 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe

Up for auction is my 1971 Corvette LT-1. I bought this car approx. a year ago with the hopes of taking it to various car shows. My situation has changed somewhat so I have decided to sell it. This is a very nice original car. Mostly all original paint as far as I know. It does show the body seams thru the paint as it is getting thin. Across the front the rivet impressions are showing. It is original interior with the exception that a former owner changed out the carpet. I was given the original in a bag when I purchased the car and it will go with the car. Door panels show their age especially on the armrest areas and I have repair panels that have never been installed to go with the car. It is the original numbers matching engine that came in the car. It runs very good. I have receipts where it went through a complete overhaul in the past. It has its original Muncie close ratio 4-speed and original rear end. It is a 4:11 ratio one of the few options the car had. I rides like all other Corvettes and drives good and is quite peppy with this engine and rear axle combination. It has had the exhaust system replaced sometime in the past and is in good shape. It has small pits in the luggage rack, exhaust bezels and tips as is to be expected with an original car. This is not a car you want to buy to fix up as it is way too valuable in it original condition. Some of the pictures were taken by the dealer at his location when I bought it. There are no mountains in Eastern North Carolina except sand dunes. I have driven the car approximately 200 miles in the last year so really do not need it. It has always been garaged since I had it. I noticed that someone in the past removed the smog pump so that is not with it. Anyone wanting to be 100% correct can always buy another on E-Bay and install it. I have the original window sticker, original owners protectoplate, original manuals etc. This would make a great car to enter into Bloomington Survivor. I think it would do well with or without the smog pump but you can decide that. I have many receipts from the original two owners on work preformed on the car. I can take pictures that you may require of this car or can send a video of it running. The only thing I know that is not working is the clock and have receipts when it was repaired in the past so I suspect it will work fine once it is cleaned. They all stopThe fiber optics work but also usually they require the ends to be cleaned to get a good light through the. Most of these things I intended to do but I am getting up in age and do not feel like working on the car. Car has white letter bias ply tires as it came with originally. They are in very good condition. The left front seat also has one seam just beginning to show the beaded cord on one of the seams which I do no think is visible in the pictures. I also might consider trade for a nice 30, 31 Ford coupe with Chevrolet power and automatic and air. Buyer is responsible for all shipping or can be picked up here. I will assist in any way if I can. Email me with any questions or concerns. Thanks, Mike
