"REAL" Numbers Matching 1967 RS/SS 396 Turbo-Jet 4-Speed Convertible

I searched 21 years for this "REAL" NUMBERS MATCHING 1967 RS/SS 396 Turbo-Jet 4-Speed Convertible. 1967 is the First year GM produced the Camaro and the Only year that has "Vent Windows." In my 40 years of being a muscle car enthusiast and collecting the rarest of muscle cars, I have seen a very limited number of small block RS/SS convertibles and nearly all of those had automatic transmissions, but I have Never seen another1967 RS/SS 4-Speed Convertible that wasn't a Pace Car.

Fresh out of a high end restoration shop where I had the doors, hood, trunk, fenders, bumpers, grill, windshield, convertible top, cowl vent grille panel, header panel, tail lights, gas filler tube, bright work and badging all removed to have the entire car stripped down to bare metal (but not a rotisserie restoration.) A complete new interior, including dash pad and "Top Show Quality" approved front bucket seat coverswere installed.Some other new parts include a newconvertible top,new gas tank, badging, rubber moldings, window "whiskers," and exhaust systemalong withnumerous other parts too many to name.( I believe I had a Stainless Steel exhaust system put on this one.)

The Car V.I.N. is 124677N148682 which matches the block number which is 7148682. The "Block Casting Number" is 3902406 which denotes a 1967 396 cubic inch engine.

The 396 was totally rebuilt to factory specifications as was the M-20 4-Speed transmission and the factory 12 Bolt Rear-end as well. The Speedometer, Tachometer, Amp Meter Gauge and Temperature Gauges work as they should however the Gas Gauge and Clock still need attention.

This car drives like new and performs as good as it looks. I grade this car as a very high quality driver because the underside wasn'tdetailed.I am sure you are aware this IS NOT an inexpensive car and because of how rare it is there probably won't be any "Comps" out there. With that being said, I recently found a 1967 396 Pace Car Convertible with a price of $130,000.....but that was an automatic transmission. I believe my car to be much rarer than the Pace Cars, especially with the 4-Speed Transmission, and in the Collector Car Arena, rarer is better and as you know, more expensive as well. This was the last car I added to my elite collection and have owned it about 15 to 20 years so if there is another one out there you may not see one come on the market for a very long time, perhaps another 21 years.

This may very well be the Rarest Camaro ever built!
