Description of 1993 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 |
1993 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Z71 4x4 Shortbed Pickup This truck is the rarely seen Flareside style where the rear fenders are articulated (versus the far more commonly seen Fleetside (or slab-sided) versions. Add to that the fact that this is a Z71 package, which means off-road suspension and 4-wheel drive. Now add a 5.7 liter (350 cu. In.) V8 with fuel injection and dual exhaust and you've got a truck that will haul loads and haul ass! (It's got a heavy-duty tow package with electric brake controls for a trailer.) This one-owner, low mileage truck was purchased and cherished by an elderly gentleman from upstate who spec'd every possible option and then added some excellent accessories to boot. So, besides its 350V8, 4WD, and floor shift auto trans, it's got power steering, power brakes, power windows, power door locks, tilt wheel, roof lights, fog lights, brush guard, bed rails, bed liners, retractable bed cover, side steps, tow hitch, and Michelin LT tires. The truck comes with books and records... even the original window sticker showing a purchase price of $22,267, quite a blast 25 years ago! It is completely original down to the paint, interior, dash, and is flawless in every respect. It is finished in Light Quasar Blue Metallic (an homage to the classic Chevy colors of Marina Blue and Nassau Blue). There is no paintwork, rust or pitting, making this a true collector quality, survivor example. If you're looking for a classic pickup that you can take to a car show or Home Depot, one that will appreciate in value if you take reasonable care of it and will perform as reliably as a new truck (at a third of the price), then this Silverado may be for you. There has been a huge surge of interest in the late 80's/early 90's pickups, as they retain the classic, box look of vintage trucks, but offer the comfort and practicality of more modern pick-ups. Of this genre, none is more sought after than the early 90's Chevrolet 1500 Silverado. And of those Silverado's, none is more desirable than this example. |
