Description of 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Nomad Wagon |
Selling a 1970 Chevelle station wagon project. No engine or trans. This is a Nomad model, and originally came with a 6 cylinder and powerglide trans. Has front drum brakes and 10 bolt rear end. Came with power steering but no other options. This is a solid West Coast car that has never been in road salt. Will need some work on the rear floor pans, but I have solid donor panels included that can be used for patches. Rear side glass channels are pretty solid - these are usually always rusted out on wagons. Rest of body is fairly solid. Will need patches on bottoms of front fenders as is typical. Will need passenger rear quarter repaired at tail light area. I have a donor rear quarter corner that is included to repair the tail light area. Tailgate and rear bumper had been removed as shown in some of the photos but have now been reinstalled. Tailgate includes manual regulator and glass but is missing some internal parts to make it fully functional. Solid, recoverable front bench and rear seat that are shown in separate photos are included. Dash is fairly complete including wiring harness. Gas tank was removed but is included, as is much of the miscellaneous interior and exterior trim. Note that I included a photo of a page from the 1970 Chevrolet Dealer sales album showing the Nomad model for 1970 as a 4-door wagon. Yes it really is a Nomad, and this is according to GM documentation. GM really did use the Nomad name on models other than 2 door wagons. I can be reached at 360-608-0093 to answer any questions. I have a few additional photos I can send to serious parties. Clear Oregon title in my name. Deposit of $300 due within 24 hours of close of auction, and balance due via bank check or wire transfer within 3 days. I can store car for up to 21 days after close of auction at no cost. Will work with your transporter on getting car loaded, but all transport arrangements must be made by buyer.
