Description of 1959 Chevrolet Other Pickups

It's time for the Hughes truck to go. We have loved having her. but our desires of making a car hauler out of her have diminished. This old girl is a 1959 Chevy Viking 60 series truck. I am the 4th owner of the truck. It started its life when it was purchase by the Howard Hughes Aviation Company of Culver City. CA. I believe it was the late 80's or early 90's when the 2nd owner out of Utah purchased it and then was sold to a nearby postmaster in 2008 that used it as he was building a new home to haul material. Our restoration shop had plans of making a car hauler out of it. but that just ain't happening! We have too many projects right now. So what you have is an original truck. The paint is original. a few of the flat bed boards have been replaced but the majority are original and in very good condition. The floors and steps are solid. there is a little bit of rust in the driver cab corner and a tiny bit in the driver fender. The seat is said to be original and looks so to me and is in exceptional shape. I would say the dash cluster has been replaced as the odometer reads less than 100 miles and looks new. Here is what has been replaced this year: Water pump. alternator. battery. rebuilt the master cylinder. plugs. points. rotor. cap and wires. New antifreeze -40 degree. oil and filter 20w-50 and greased. Lift gate needs new hoses and hydraulic fluid to operate. It worked well in 2008-2010 when it was being used. There are a few things I may be interested in trading for: '66-'67 Chevelle. Pre 1990 Porsche 911. '67-'69 Camaro. '55-'57 Chevy Nomad. or. a classic 4x4. 1980's and up is not classic to me. Sorry.
